If you are a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you already know all the characters from the very popular series. The ones that stand out the most are the animal companions like Momo and Appa. Well, maybe they are just secondary characters, but they still have big roles with almost every episode. They will forever be remembered as being the animals of The Last Airbender. That’s the case with the new characters from Legend of Korra. In the new Avatar series there will be two new animal guides but this time instead of a flying Bison and a winged lemur, there will be a polar bear dog, and a fire ferret. This lesson is going to show you "how to draw Pabbo", step by step. Pabbo is as I said a fire ferret and he belongs to Mako and Bolin who are brothers. Like the rest of the cast there is no background information on Pabbo as of yet, but I do know from reading that at some point in the series the two brothers or Bolin will run into Pabbo and then that is when he will be a part of the crew like Momo was to Aang and the rest of the gang. He looks like he is going to be a very likable creature, and to keep the second animal species small, I think a ferret was an excellent choice. I think you guys will have a blast as you learn "how to draw Pabbo" the fire ferret. I know I had fun, and if you like simple lessons, this one is for you. Thanks guys and be sure to let me know if you are eagerly awaiting for the premier of Legend of Korra.

How to Draw Pabbo, Pabbo, Legend of Korra

how to draw pabbo, pabbo, legend of korra step 1

STEP 1.

Begin drawing Pabbo by making two simple shapes like you see here in the areas you see too. Draw a neck line that will connect the head and body together, and then add the facial guides.

STEP 2.

Up next, you will start drawing out Pabbo's head and at this point it looks like a cat. The ears and round face shape gives the impression that this animal is going to be a cat. Add some fuzz below the ears, and then move to step three.

STEP 3.

Before drawing out anymore body parts you will need to draw in the ear detailing and then draw out the mask like markings on the face which frames the eyes. This should be hairy and it should also look like two arches.

STEP 4.

Using facial guides that you drew in step one, draw in the small eyes, color in some pupils, and then draw out the marking lines that fall down the nose like so. Next, color in a nose, and then draw out the mouth.

STEP 5.

Now sketch out the shape of the fire ferret's long thick neck, and then draw out the feet which are turned in towards the chest. Don't forget to draw the toes, and then move to step six.

STEP 6.

Now you will work on getting the back part of the ferret's body drawn out. Do this by making layered folds down the back, and then draw the back end, and then the short stubby hind legs. Again, draw in the feet and toes.

STEP 7.

You are almost done guys. Simply draw out the long, curled fat looking tail. That's pretty much it for this step, just proceed on.

STEP 8.

Draw the marking on the front of the chest and be sure to draw these marks around the shoulders. Next, draw in the stripes on the tail and then begin erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.
