How to Draw Chibi Cats
There is no way that a person can draw too many cats. That is why I wanted to make a lesson on "how to draw chibi cats", step by step. Drawing any type of chibi animal is incredibly fun and easy to do. Unless of course you are making a detailed sketch for realism, but if you’re just drawing basic chibi animals it should be pretty simple. The two cats that you will be drawing are in a very playful pose. I decided to make them siblings and because of this, you can choose to make them sister and sister, brother and brother, or sister and brother. In my case I wanted them to be brother and sister because they remind me of my brother and sister who are always playing with each other. My brother is twelve and he is a real sport because he will sit there and play with my little sister for hours just because she has no one her age in the family to play with. The tiger looking chibi cat is supposed to be my seven year old sister and as you can see she is tackling my brother. He is just lying there wishing he didn’t have to play with her at all. Anyways this is an extremely cute tutorial that will teach you "how to draw chibi cats". I will be back with more drawing fun so stay tuned in. Adios people!

STEP 1.
Make two circles which are going to be for the heads. Add facial guidelines like you see here.
STEP 2.
Here you can start sketching out the head and lower face structure of the bottom chibi cat.
STEP 3.
Draw in the large arches for the eyes, and then draw in the chibi cat's ears. You will need to sketch in the detailing lines and hair strands to add definition to the cat.
STEP 4.
Finish the first cat's eyes by drawing the bottom lid lines to close off the shapes. Next, color in the eyeballs and leave two circles of white for the pupils. Sketch in the tiny nose, whiskers, and small sighing mouth. Don't forget to draw in the brows.
STEP 5.
Now that the head and face is complete, you can now start drawing out the cats body. Begin by making the front legs and paws like so and be sure to sketch out the toes to look stressed.
STEP 6.
Draw the the belly, and hind legs as well as the back paws. Once that is done you can sketch out the tail and be sure to make the end of the tail very puffy. Draw a marking line for the end of the tail.
STEP 7.
Okay, first cat down, one more to go. Begin by drawing out the shape of the other cats head, lower face, and then the ears. Once that is done sketch in some hair on top of the head, and move to step eight.
STEP 8.
Draw in the flaps that forms the ears, and then draw out the cute piece of hair or cat fur that is falling down the forehead. Draw thick chunky lines for the squinting eyes, and then sketch out the nose, mouth, whiskers, and brows.
STEP 9.
Since most of the cats body is covered, all you have to do here is sketch out the tail which is also marked with a tip line. Be sure to fluff it up, and start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 10.
Now that you are all done with the drawing, you can have even more fun as you color these two chibi cats in. Thanks for joining me with this tutorial on drawing chibi cats.Post a comment
