How to Draw a Diamond Chested Phoenix
Yes it is time for a new phoenix tutorial that I thought I would submit. I was playing around on my drawing tablet (like I always do before drawing something cool), and I started drawing what would turn out to be another phoenix. Now I already have two tutorials on a phoenix, one is called Phoenix rising and the other is called a water phoenix. Today I will be showing you how to draw a diamond chested phoenix step by step. This legendary animal is one of my favorite creatures to draw, I must have draw over a dozen different types of phoenixes over the course of time. I still have my very first sketch book that my parents bought me for Christmas one day. I guess that is when they knew that I loved drawing; well actually they knew I loved drawing when all I used to draw is dinosaurs and dragons when I was a kid. After my drawing technique got better and better I started tackling more complex characters and images that would later challenge me into being a good artist. I am not gonna sit here and say that I am great at drawing because I am not. I will say I am good, I mean there are a lot of talented artist on this site that make my jaw drop when I look at their work. The phoenix is a beautiful mythical animal that has a lot of importance to people that start over in their lives. This fire bird is a symbol of hope and starting a new chapter in life. The city of Phoenix Arizona has this bird as their symbol because they too rose from the ashes after a terrible fire ransacked through their town. If you look at the phoenix you can see how powerful he really is visually. There is so much power and hope in the bird itself that makes him a desirable animal to draw. I approached this tutorial with ease and concentration. I wanted to make a better version of my very first phoenix that I drew a long time ago. I think I accomplished something good with this one. You will learn how to draw Diamond Chested Phoenix step by step. The instructions will help guide you along and you will see just how easy it is to draw. STEP 1.
Start this first step by drawing out a small circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. You will next draw a small shape for the beak and then the guidelines foe the wings,. At this point the wings look like two swords from Heavenly Sword. Now from the head draw out the shape of the neck as well as the circles for the mid part for the body and then the shapes of the legs and feet. The last thing you will draw is the outlining for the tail.
STEP 2.
Now here in this step you will start to sketch out the feather lines on the head as well as the beak lines. Shape out an eye and the on each wing draw individual feather guidelines that will later be shaped out. You will do the same thing for the tail feathers as well. When you are done you can proceed on.
STEP 3.
Now here you will start sketching in the detailing on the face and neck area by adding feathers that should shape out the phoenix's face. Next draw out the shape of the feathers on both wings and define them as well. You will next start sketching out the detailing on the wings so that you are able to see a hint of a bone and then detail the tail feathers.
STEP 4.
Now ll you will do here in this last drawing step is sketch in more of the detailing definition on the wings with small patches of feathers on the wings and the chest. Detail the feathers on the head as well as the tail feathers. When you are done you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew back in step one.
STEP 5.
This is what your drawing should look like when you are done. All you have to do is color him in and that is it. You just learned how to draw a diamond chested phoenix step by step. I will be back with more drawing tutorials for your learning pleasure.Comments: Post Comment
