I don’t know how many times I am going to submit a lesson in the same day on more flowers. This will be my second tutorial on a flower but this time you will learn how to draw blossoms", step by step. I’m really not going to go into hardcore details because this is just a very simple lesson on a blossom that looks very much like a sakura tree or branch from the popular Japanese tree. I’ve noticed that the sakura tree has been gaining more and more popularity over the past few months. Here you will find that drawing a blossom like this one from the Japanese cherry tree, is going to be a very useful and simple tutorial to tackle and finish. Like always I had good fun with this lesson and one of the best parts to drawing a cherry blossom is the fact that you can get as creative as you want to. You can even draw in a Japanese inscription on a bamboo background of some sorts. Anyways, that’s about it. I shall return once again with more drawing fun so stay tuned in folks, peace out!

STEP 3.

Yes I know this looks weird. At the end of each spur you just drew, draw smaller circles at the tips like so. Don't get frustrated just take your time.

STEP 4.

Okay guys lets start drawing out the pedals on each pod and notice how they only have five petals per flower or bloom.

STEP 5.

Here you will start drawing out the branch for the flowers and notice how the lining is uneven and full of bumps. The sakura is a tree not a plant that produces delicate stems. Sketch in some wilted leaves like so, and move to step six.

STEP 6.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is sketch in some serrated edged leaves on the branches or branch like you see here and a few skinny twig like stems under the flowers or blooms. Erase all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

STEP 7.

Here is what your drawing looks like when you are all done. Now you can have a blast as you color it in to your liking.
