How to Draw Kaname Kuran, Vampire Knight
This is an anime character that I am not familiar with so I'm going to pretend that I know what I'm talking about when I write out this tutorial description on "how to draw Kaname Kuran", step by step. He is a vampire like no other, and he is also very much in love with Yuki. Kaname is responsible for coming to Yuki's rescue when she was only five years old when another vampire tried to attack her. Every now and then you come across a character that happens to be one of the strongest of the bunch. Kaname is one of the original founding figures of the Kuran family. There is a lot of background to Kaname's character profile, and his importance in the Vampire Knight series. All I can really do is familiarize you guys with who he is at least, and show you "how to draw Kaname". I tried making the lesson as easy as I possibly can, and I think you will find that there is little difficulty that you will come across with this tutorial. Anyways, if you are a fan of Vampire Knight there is no need for me to go any further with a full character bio, especially seeing how I'm not avid fan. STEP 1.
Begin by drawing out some shapes and guidelines starting with the small circle for the head. Next, draw out the guidelines to form the shoulders, arms, torso, and pelvis, and legs.
STEP 2.
The next thing you will have to tackle is sketching out the structure of Kaname's face, and then sketch his sharp pointed bangs as well as the neck, and V line for the neck or shirt collar.
STEP 3.
Sketch in the rest of Kaname's hairstyle which should come out looking shaggy more than anything else. Draw in his eyes, nose and then the mouth.
STEP 4.
Now that the face and head of Kaname is all done, you can begin drawing out the torso or the clothing. Begin by drawing out the broad lining for the shoulders, and then tapper off to form the chest, and waist. Draw the flaps for the jacket collar, and make a middle line in the center of the jacket.
STEP 5.
All you will be doing here is drawing out the stitching lines that will add detail to Kaname's jacket. Be sure to draw out the pockets, and then draw in the shirt that he is wearing under his coat.
STEP 6.
As you can see you will be completing the upper body by drawing out the arms or sleeves. This is a very simple task just take your time, and you will be fine. Also, begin drawing out Kaname's hands too.
STEP 7.
This is a similar step to number five because like step five, you will be sketching in the detailing for the jacket sleeves as well as his hands. Take your time, and try to notice all the little creases and lines.
STEP 8.
Now it's time to get those long legs drawn out in the form of pants. This is one of the easier steps to tackle and complete so no worries with drawing Kaname's legs.
STEP 9.
Draw out the feet and shoes like so, and notice the position of his feet. Instead drawing them from a side view, I decided to draw Kaname standing in a very stylish and vampire like way. Don't forget to draw in that seam line in the middle of his pants like you see here. Next, erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up this vampire character.
STEP 10.
As you can see learning how to draw Kaname was not all that hard. At least you have another figure from Vampire Knight to put under your belt. Color him in and you are all done!Comments: Post Comment

Yeah, i agree with you that this tutorial is really cool and the fact that the hair and skin are not right slightly but other than that, it is really good.
