Steps: 10Updated: May 10, 2011P.O.V: FrontFavourited: 9 timesI am so excited to be uploading today’s lessons because they are going to be on some really cool stuff. The first one I have for you is a tutorial on "how to draw gangster Shadow", step by step. This is a game figure that has been blowing up my request mailbox ever since I uploaded gangster Sonic. At first I colored in his baggy or ghetto style clothing using red and blue tones. I decided to use the colors of Shadow, and base the clothing shades on his scheme. I wasn't going to add the cigarette in his mouth or the gun, but I thought that these two concepts would match his image perfectly. Everybody knows that Shadow is seen as being one tough hedgehog. In the end it came out pretty awesome, and this drawing is going down as one of my favorite gangster characters to date. I think Shadow, and Spongebob are my two favorite figures in gangster form, and if you are a fanatic about Shadow, or any other Sonic the Hedgehog character, you will adore this lesson on "how to draw gangster Shadow". This is truly an epic lesson that is colorful, interesting, and full of fun! I will be back momentarily with more stuff for you guys to draw so try and stay tuned in. Adios mi amigos!

STEP 1.
Begin by drawing out the shape of a head, and then draw the guidelines for the hair, body, and legs like you see here. Be sure to add another smaller circle for the hand, and then one face guide.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the profile lining for gangster Shadow's head, forehead, eye, and mouth area. Don't forget to draw in a pointed ear.
STEP 3.
Continue to work on getting Shadow's face drawn out starting with the rest of his brows, eyes, eyeballs, and then draw in the mouth line cheek, and cigarette. Also, you will need to draw out the visor that he is wearing on his head.
STEP 4.
As you know Shadow is also known for his thick, chunky locks. Draw out his supposed hair and then draw in the bandanna tie in the back. When that is done you can add some detailing to the left ear, as well as add an earring and draw the left ear. Color in some pupils, and then draw out the right arm.
STEP 5.
Now what you will do is draw out his hand, and then draw in the gun he is holding. All of the Sonic characters have gloved hands like a lot of game characters.
STEP 6.
All you will have to do here is draw in some detailing lines that will give your gangster character some definition and texture. Finish drawing out the gun and add a tip to the cigarette.
STEP 7.
You are almost done with your drawing of gangster Shadow. Here all you have to do is draw out the left gloved hand which is in a fist pose, and then draw out some of his body along with the waist.
STEP 8.
Now it's time to get those ghetto pants drawn out. You will do this by start at the waits and make a belt. Then draw out the folds, creases and wrinkles using a flare effect. As you can see his pants start off small at the thigh, but then flare out as the leg lengthens.
STEP 9.
Final step guys, draw out his big, bulky shoes like so and be sure to add all the detailing to the shoes as well. In the end they should look like stylish gangster sneakers. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing and then you're done.
STEP 10.
Here is your gangster Shadow once you are all done. Now you can have even more fun as you color in this game figure to really give him a bad attitude.Post a comment
