It's going to be a long night in the town of Dragoart tonight because there is more lessons that are going to be pouring in, and this time they will be by me. I just wanted to say that Catlucker has done an amazing job on Bruno Mars and I am really happy to have her submitting her work on Dragoart, she really does brighten up the site with her amazing sketches. Anyways, on another not lets talk about what you will be getting a lesson on next. To start my day I will be teaching you "how to draw a willow tree", step by step. I was asked to make more tree lessons and I'm guessing it's because the summer is approaching and trees will start filling out. The willow tree is probably on the top ten list of most popular or well recognized tree species in existence. There are two other species of tree that are just as popular and that is the sallow, and osler. The willow is a tree that is largely found in the northern hemisphere. They live in cold weather very well, and their bark is dense, watery, and full of salicylic acid. What makes the willow tree beautiful to look at is how the branches are so delicate in appearance which makes them almost therapeutic to admire as you gaze upon the slender branches, and elongated leaves. I can remember days when I was just six years old my folks used to take us to an ice cream parlor that had a small fenced in dwelling with three goats and a few chickens. I used to feed the goats skinny bendable branches filled with leaves to the goats. It was such a fun time in my life because the animals where so cute and being a six year old kid you can imagine how awesome it was for me. Anyways, before I let you get busy with this tutorial on how to draw a willow tree, I just want to tell you that my favorite animated weeping willow is from Pocahontas created by Disney. Her name was Grandmother Willow, and Pocahontas used to go to her for spiritual guidance. Have fun with this tutorial guys and be sure to let me know what you thought of it by commenting and rating. Peace out people!
