How to Draw Taz

1

Start with the shape of an almond for the entire body frame of Taz and then add the guidelines for his face and body like you see here.

2

Using the guidelines you drew in step one, begin drawing out the eyes, and thick bushy eyebrows like so. As you know Taz always has that mean or unfriendly expression on his face.

3

Now you will begin drawing out the top part of his head which should be drawn with a combination of chunks of hair and his ears. When that is done, color in his eye pupils.

4

You will sketch out the complete front part of his body which is also the two toned pattern for his color. This is his area where his mouth, face, and body will be. Once the strawberry shape is drawn out, draw and color in his nose, and the top linin

5

Continue to draw out the mouth until you have a screaming devil that is ready to chomp on anything he sees. Draw in the top and bottom row of teeth, and then draw out his bottom lip and whiskers.

6

You are now ready to draw out the shoulders, arms, and hands. As you can see Taz has long arms, and chunky hands. Be sure to sketch in some hair tufts on his shoulders. Add in a tongue and move to step seven.

7

Almost done guys! Finish drawing out the other arm by giving Taz his left hand, and then draw in the beginning lining for his back, butt, and legs.

8

Finish drawing out his legs, and then draw in the feet and crotch area. Sketch in his tail, and start erasing the guidelines and shape that you drew in step one.

9

Great job guys, you are all done drawing Taz now all you have to do is color him in and maybe even place him next to his old buddy Bugs.

Description: I already have a lesson on Taz but since the new carton series is coming out I figured it would be best to make another tutorial on "how to draw Taz", step by step so he looks like he does in “The Looney Tunes Show”. He has always been one of my favorite characters from the Warner Bros. collection and because he is a misunderstood character, I kind of find him interesting. Sometimes the writers would make skits or episodes where Taz has a wife, and he is hounded by her as he tries to catch Bugs for a meal. His look is pretty much the same, the only thing that is really different is the shade of brown for his color. Instead of a dark brown, the new Taz is a lighter shade to a point where he is almost brownish tan. I had a lot of fun drawing Taz from scratch and I know you will too. The lesson is going to be easy to follow and real simple to understand. If you would like to see an updated version of another character that is getting a total revamped make-over for The Looney Tunes Show, just let me know. In the mean time, have fun with drawing Taz and be sure to let me know what you think of the tutorial. I will be back in about two hours to start another Live Stream session so stay tuned in for that. Peace people!
