Description: Hello everyone welcome once again to another tutorial on DragoArt.com. I hope you are all loving the new layout of the site. Although it looks different it is still undergoing some more changes. Anyway, today’s tutorial is going to be on an animal that is familiar to all of us. You will be learning "how to draw a skunk". Skunks are very intimidating creatures that roam the night air. These animals are considered to be nocturnal and they are also considered to be infected with rabies if you see them during daylight hours. The reason why skunks are so intimidating is because they possess that certain something that makes you go “Ewe”. You got, it’s their incredible horrible-smelling spray that they unleash when they get in their defensive mode. I personally never had to experience being sprayed down with their intoxicating stench, but as we all know if you are one of the unfortunate and you have been hosed down before by a skunk, you know they have a “hard-to-remove” stench when it saturates your clothing and skin. The spray that omits from a skunk is produced by glands under its large tail. It is an oily liquid which is why it is so incredibly hard to remove. The mist that comes out from down under can travel as far as ten feet, now that is a scary thought. I mean just when you think that if you keep your distance your fine, but nope he can get you while you stand. There are many different types of skunk, they can be found from Indonesia and the Philippines, all the way to America, Canada and to central South America. The average skunk reside in borrows that are built by other animals; they also take refuge in hollow logs, ditches, abandoned buildings, and even in the woods. They have a diet that includes a little bit of everything such as berries, plants, worms, insects, fruit, reptiles, small mammals, and fish. Skunks are also allowed to be kept as pets in some parts of America and in America they allow their stink glands to be removed. But in the UK the laws are different, you can own a skunk as a pet but it is illegal to de-gland them. So then...what’s the point? I would never want to own a skunk I think they are just too “YUK” for me. This is a cool tutorial because even though I find the skunk repulsive, I show you how to draw a skunk and he looks cute. I will be back with another drawing tutorial for you all in a bit. In the mean time work on this one and see what is coming next.
