A fun duo to draw are two animals from Disney's The Lion King that are absolutely the same, but also different in many ways. As you can see from the main image, you will be taught "how to draw Timon and Pumbaa", step by step. I know some of you are looking at the two characters and you're saying “OMG Timon and Pumbaa”. For some, these two friends are the best characters created for the film. Although I do have to say that Scar was pretty captivating as well. I think that has a lot to do with Jeremy Irons being the voice talent for Scar. Anyways Timon and Pumbaa live outside of the Pride Lands and they are the ones that stumble upon Simba when he ran away from home. When they found Simba lying there all lifeless and depressed, they tried to raise his spirits so that the little guy wouldn't feel so crummy. Once Simba starts living by the hakuna matata philosophy, the duo becomes a trio. This is going to be a super fun lesson to follow because everyone loves these two unique, and off the wall animals. As you know Timon is a meerkat, and Pumbaa is a warthog. Drawing Timon and Pumbaa is going to be a blast. See you guys in a bit with one more tutorial coming your way. STEP 1.
The first character you will begin drawing is Pumbaa. Start by making two big shapes for his warthog body. You should have a head and body shape drawn in for the first step.
STEP 2.
Now you will draw out a little stick figure for Timon's body frame and then add one single facial guideline.
STEP 3.
Now lets start sketching out Pumbaa's head shape which is just chubby cheeks, and two eye shapes. You will then draw out the snout which is also a part of the mouth. Next, draw out Timon's small head shape and then some of his neck too.
STEP 4.
Okay, now finish the head shape like so, and then draw out the rest of his great big smile. You will then draw in the husks, and draw the lining that forms his nose tip. For Timon, all you have to do is draw in the eye shapes, draw his nose, and then start the smile lining.
STEP 5.
Draw in the ears, and then draw the hair on his head and then draw in the snout nose holes. You will now finish drawing out Timon's face which consists of his mouth, bend ears, and then color in some pupils.
STEP 6.
Pumbaa now needs to have his body drawn in starting with the thick neck, and then draw out his back end. You will then draw out his tail and be sure to add the tuft at the end or tip of his tail. As for Timon all you have to do is draw out his arms, hands, and then the torso.
STEP 7.
Finish drawing Timon's body and then draw out his feet and the marking lines on his fingers. When that is done you can sketch out Pumbaa chest, and front legs and hooves like you see here.
STEP 8.
All you have to do now is finish drawing out Pumbaa's body which is only the legs and chest, and then draw out Timon's tail.
STEP 9.
Lastly, sketch in the marking lines on the end of Pumbaa's tail, his belly, and on his feet. Draw the lining for the toes as well. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up the drawing.
STEP 10.
Here is what the duo looks like now that you are all done. Color them in and be on your way to more drawing fun.1 Page Result
