How to Draw Goku and Vegeta
Hey everyone, it's me Dawn your trusted friend and fellow artist. Today I am going to fill an awesome request on two Dragon Ball figures that all DBZ fans know and love. I was asked if I could make a tutorial on "how to draw Goku and Vegeta", step by step. Now seeing how Goku and Vegeta are two of the most popular characters of the anime and manga, I had to step on this request with ultra speed and precision. I wanted to make sure that Goku looked like how he always does, and I also wanted to make sure that Vegeta displayed that cocky look on his face that he often wears from his overwhelming amount of confidence. The lesson should be rather simple to follow but if you are a novice artist, you may find this tutorial a bit complicated but still doable. There is nothing better than learning how to make your two favorite characters side by side especially when you are a die hard fan of the Dragon Ball series. I have a friend that loves DBZ so much, she is actually considering enrolling in an art university or community college that has an art program like RISD in Rhode Island. Anyways, no matter what she chooses to do I'm sure she will make the right choice even if she doesn't get into an art institute or design school. As for this tutorial, you will definitely enjoy learning "how to draw Goku and Vegeta" step by step and if there is other characters you would like to see paired up in a drawing tutorial, just let me know. STEP 1.
The first thing you need to do is draw out the round shapes for their heads like you see here. Before you draw out the torso shapes you will need to draw in the guidelines for the faces, and then the neck. Next, draw the torso and then add the middle lining for the bodies.
STEP 2.
As you know DB characters have very structured faces which means you will have to draw in the structure with sharp lining. Draw in the ears, and then the hair line. For Goku his hair is a few up and down lines, and for Vegeta, draw arched lines.
STEP 3.
Here you will begin drawing out the thick eyebrows, and then draw in the shapes of both the eyes. When that is done, make some cheek scratches under Goku's eyes, and then draw in the noses, mouths, and detailing inside of the ear. You will also need to color in the eyeballs or pupils.
STEP 4.
Draw out both Vegeta and Goku's crazy looking hairstyles which is as you know very easy to do. When you are done you can move to step five. As you can see you are all done with drawing out the heads.
STEP 5.
Both Goku and Vegeta have very bold and thick bodies which means their necks should be thick. When that is all set you can draw out the shoulder, and some of their arms. Sketch out the gi that they are wearing and when you are done, add in all the detailing and definition on the necks, chests, and on the clothes.
STEP 6.
As you can see you are almost done with this tutorial. Sketch out the arms which should be nice and toned looking, and also make sure that the torso is sketched out by completing the gi design. Draw some sleeves on Goku's sleeves, and then draw out the sash around his waist, and then draw out Vegeta's bottom.
STEP 7.
Sketch in detailing to Goku's sash, and then sketch out the pants like you see here. When that is done you can draw out his other arm, and then draw in the wrist band and some of his hand. All you have to do to Vegeta is sketch in the pleats around the waist of his pants and then start erasing all the lines and shapes you drew in step one.
STEP 8.
Now that you are all done, you should end up with a drawing that looks as good as you see it here. Color them in and add the two DBZ figures to your collection. I hope you liked this lesson on how to draw Goku and Vegeta.Comments: Post Comment
