How to Draw Son Gohan
Well guys, I went ahead and did it again, I made a tutorial out of another Dragon Ball character from both DBZ and DBGT. You may recognize him because he is one of the main characters in the manga and anime. Today I am going to show you "how to draw Son Gohan", step by step. I've written about Gohan a few times which means I don't have anything really to say as far as character description goes. I have a tutorial on Kid Gohan, and just plain old Gohan that I made a while ago and to tell you the truth at least one of those lessons is pretty bad. This version of Gohan that I drew for you is him in his teenage years. You can tell his age by his hairstyle. When Son Gohan is in his teens, he still has the spiked style, but he also has that one thick chunk of hair that falls on his forehead. Now that I can draw way better than I did before, I am able to provide quality tutorials that you learn from in an easy manner. The reason why he is called “Son” Gohan is because he is the son of the original Gohan. As you know his mother is Chi Chi, and he is also the very first half Sayian that was born on Earth. The tutorial was fun to do and I know that there is a lot of Dragon Ball fans that come to Dragoart.com to learn how to draw Dragon Ball characters that they are fond of. I did some research and believe it or not, but a good amount of you guys that come to Dragoart are anime, manga fans more than anything else. Now because of this fact, I am going to show you "how to draw Son Gohan", step by step in the easiest way I know how. When you are done with the tutorial you will end up with another version of Gohan to add to your DB drawing collection. I have one more lesson coming your way guys so try and keep those pencils moving.

STEP 1.
You will be drawing Son Gohan in an action pose so please take your time if you want a quality product of a finished drawing. Begin by making a circle for the head, and then draw in an egg shape for the top view of his shoulders or torso. Add the two guidelines: one for the face, and one for the arm.
STEP 2.
The next thing you are going to be doing is sketching out the shape of Son Gohan's face which is very chiseled and strong looking. You will want to also incorporate the outline of his right ear as well. Next, draw in the thick chunk of hair that is falling on his brow, and then draw in the hairline as well.
STEP 3.
Okay, as you know almost all the Dragon Ball characters that are guys have thick very sharp looking eyebrows. The first thing you will do here is draw out, and color in the bold looking brows, and then draw out the shape of his eyes. Next, draw in the pointed nose, and his smirking grin as well as the detailing inside of the ear.
STEP 4.
All you have to do here is finish drawing out his hairstyle which is spikey, and very coned tipped. Add some detailing to the face as well.
STEP 5.
Now that we got Son Gohan's face all drawn in, you can begin sketching out the top half of his body starting with the sleeve, and then lining for his back. The clothes are very detailed so be sure to draw in those folds, creases, and wrinkles. Don't forget to draw in the chest as well.
STEP 6.
Son Gohan also has very muscular arms as well as physic. Now because of this, I want you to begin sketching out his arm which is full of muscle detailing, and then draw in the wristbands that he always wears. When that is done draw out the sash around his waist, and then move to step seven.
STEP 7.
You are already almost done with this tutorial. All you need to do here is sketch out the legs or his pants, and then draw out the hands as well. When you are confident that your step looks like the one you see here, move to step eight.
STEP 8.
For the last drawing step, I want you to sketch out the shoes or feet, and then sketch in all those detailing crease, fold, and wrinkle lines on Son Gohan's pants. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one and you are all done.
STEP 9.
Here is what the end result looks like when you are all done. As you can see Son Gohan is ready for color, and to be placed with the other Dragon Ball stars in your sketch book. Thanks for joining me today as we learned how to draw Son Gohan.Comments: Post Comment
