How to Draw Raccoons

1

You are going to be drawing a family of raccoons so brace yourselves. Start by making a series of shapes with the biggest being for the mothers head, and body. Next, draw the head shapes for the babies.

2

Now you will begin sketching out the shapes of the heads for each raccoon which is four. The mother should have the pinched cheeks, and the erect ears. Add that strand of hair on top of her head to add some character. Next, sketch out the heads and e

Now draw in her snout and then a nose. Once that is done use the facial guidelines you drew in step one to draw in her eyes evenly and as you can see they are almond shaped. Color in some pupils and then draw in the detailing inside of her ear. Next,

For the mom you will be drawing out her burglar like eye mask and then draw in the other markings on her face. You will also do the same thing for the other baby raccoons like you see and when you are done you can move to step five.

5

You are now ready to start drawing out the bodies for all of the raccoons. For the mom you can draw out the legs and paws, and then draw out the chest. For the kiddies, you will also be drawing out their front legs and paws, and for the little guy sl

Here you will finish drawing out the bodies for all the raccoons in the picture. Start by drawing out moms hind leg and rear quarter. Next, draw in her big puffy tail, and then draw out the babies bodies as well as their tails too.

Before you draw in those stripes on the tails, you will need to start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one. Once that is finished, you can draw in those stripes on the tails.

When you are all done and you feel happy with the raccoons, you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Now you can go ahead and color the family in to finish off this tutorial.

Description: Raccoons, raccoons, raccoons, how many of these animals can you count? Yesterday my friend and I left the house around six thirty in the morning to grab a coffee at Dunkin Donuts because we had no coffee in the house. On the way to the store, we saw something in the middle of the road that looked like a bunch of small glaring dots. AS we pulled up closer it was a family of raccoons crossing the street. We had to literally stop in our tracks to let the animals cross and believe me they took their time fully. As they crossed in to the other side of the woods, I was instantly inspired to make a tutorial based on those adorable raccoons. Today I am going to show you "how to draw raccoons", step by step and instead of coloring them in the typical color, I wanted to play with the shades to give the drawing my own personal touch. This is a drawing of a mother and her young, and the baby raccoons that you see in the drawing, are only a bit smaller than what they looked liked in real life. It was the most adorable thing I've seen in a while, and ever since that day I will always look forward to seeing them once again. I had so much fun making this tutorial because the raccoon family looks so loving. I think you will enjoy this lesson because you will actually be drawing baby raccoons as they frolic and play with one another. I guess that’s all for now, I may be back later with some other fun stuff to draw but that all depends on how fast I can get things done. Have an awesome drawing day, and keep your imagination flowing.
