Even though we are not near December yet, it is still only three months away. Just the very word December has a warm ring to it because with this month comes the very things that we as people cherish. First off this is the month where most children and adults wait for the first snow fall. Unfortunately if you live in a warmer climate you won’t have the pleasure of experiencing the first drop of snow waiting to fall on your tongue or nose. Not only do we wait for snow, we also wait for Christmas. When Christmas approaches everyone seems to get a little bit friendlier and neighborhoods are more cheerful during the winter season. With snow comes what children love to do with friends and family, build a snowman. In this tutorial I will be showing you how to draw my version of Frosty the Snowman. In my version, Frosty the snowman is very simple to draw because he is made up of three circles. Frosty the Snowman has been a part of my childhood and he always remains in my memories. I love the TV special that airs one week before Christmas every holiday season on CBS. A snowman can not be built out just any type of snow. The texture of the snow has to be at its melting point so it is easily packed when forming into balls. After you get a good sized snowball formed, the typical way to make it larger is to roll it over and over again in fresh piles of snow until you get a good sized snowball. The bottom of the snowman is usually larger than the last two. A snowman consist of three large snowballs packed on top of each other and later decorated with your choice of accessories such as a top hat, scarf, a carrot for a nose, coal or rocks for eyes, and a series of three to four buttons on each ball of snow that is stacked. If you have an old wooden pipe on hand you can add that as well. When I build a snowman I usually have big twigs for his arms with a pair of old mittens from last season for his hands. Every person or family has their own traditional way of building a snowman. One thing is certain though; it is an extremely fun activity to do when snow falls during the winter months. In this tutorial I will show you how to draw Frosty the Snowman step by step. Even though he does not look like your typical Frosty character you will still learn how to draw a snowman. I will be back later with some more tutorials. In the mean time hang around and tackle this tutorial for now. See ya people.
