I think it's about time that I submit another tutorial on an animal that some races consider to be sacred. If you look in the “Animals” category you will find a tutorial on the buffalo, and it's pretty decent but I can point out some mistakes which made me want to do another version of the beast. So today, I am going to show you "how to draw a bison", step by step. The bison is the exact same animal as the American Buffalo, which means they are the same in appearance. Adult male bison are called bulls, and as with many animal species they are a bit bigger than the female bison. Males grow to be about six and a half feet tall, almost twelve feet long, and they can weigh up to a whopping two thousand and change pounds. Like the buffalo they too have long and shaggy dark coats in the winter, and when summer arrives the coats get a bit lighter in color and in density. Did you know that some bison have broke records by weighing more than two thousand, two hundred pounds? It's true, there have been bison that tip the scales by weighing in around two thousand five hundred pounds. Now that's a big animal. Anyways I like this depiction of the bison or buffalo because it looks more like what these grass grazing beasts should look like. The tutorial on "how to draw a bison" is going to be easy to replicate and simple to follow. I will be back in a bit with more drawing fun so stay tuned in everyone!
