Surfboards come in various designs. Observe diverse types of surfboards to get a good idea on what kind of design you want to decorate yours with. Here, we'll be drawing two types of designs which is a board decorated with flames, and one decorated w

There's two common butt types that surfboards stylize in. There's a flat butt, and there's a sharp edged butt. I'm guessing they have something to do with the balancing of the boards, depending on their size.

Start by drawing out two elongated shaped boards. The board to the right has a squared bottom and a more sharper top.

Now you will start drawing in the designs on the two boards. For the board on the left thicken the outline of the body, and then if you want to replicate the design I have here, just draw in two squiggly lines. The board to the right just has a verti

Description: There is one piece of sport or hobby equipment that I have never made a lesson out of and I thought I would submit a tutorial on an object that is used by more people than one might think. Today, I will be teaching you "how to draw a surfboard", step by step. These almost banana shaped boards where developed in Hawaii, and to islanders, the boards are something of a necessity if you like riding the waves for most of your day. The early surfboards where usually made from local koa trees which made them heavy for one person to transport around. Nowadays, surfboards are made from materials like polyurethane, and fiberglass. Now even though they are fifteen feet in length, surfboards are relatively light to carry now, then ever before. They can be carried under one arm, but they can also support the weight of anyone that stands on them. Under the bottom side of a board is fins, and these fins are used to help the surfer maneuver as he/she rides the waves. Surfing is a sport that has been active as early as the 1920's and it is even a stronger going sport today. I think you will enjoy learning from the tutorial that is going to show you "how to draw a surfboard", step by step and the best part is, you will be done in no time at all. I will be back because I still have two more lessons to upload for your entertainment, and enjoyment. Adios people and enjoy the rest of your drawing day!
