Hi everyone I’m back with another tutorial on a character from many classic tales throughout time and each one is told in a different way but their pretty much about that same thing. Today I will show you how to draw Igor. Now as I remember it, Igor was a deformed man that aided the mad scientist Dr. Frankenstein with his crazy inventions. This character that I will be showing you how to draw today is a character from the upcoming film that is due to be released September 19, 2008. The animated movie is called Igor and it stars the voice talents of John Cusack for Igor. The deformed character in this movie is incredibly cute and sweet, almost like Quasimodo in the Disney animated movie The Hunchback of Norte Dame. He too was a deformed human character that wanted more from life instead of being isolated in a box. The character of Igor is just a quite lab assistant. Igor has big dreams of becoming a Mad Scientist himself one day and winning at the annual Evil Science Fair. Instead of working for Dr. Frankenstein he works for Dr. Glickenstein. There are other characters in this film that are a part of Igor’s life. The other characters are Eva, Jaclyn, Scamper & Brain, King Malbert, Dr. Glickenstien, and Dr. Schadenfreude. All of these characters make up a unique and funny cast with this extraordinary story of a dreamer that wants to one day have all his dreams come true. In this tutorial I will show you how to draw Igor who is an adorable looking character that just needs to be loved and understood. The step by step instructions make this tutorial simple to learn and easy to draw. I hope you have a blast and I will be back with another tutorial a little bit later. Bye for now and see ya!

Step 1.

In this first step you will draw out the guidelines and shapes to form a solid frame for Igor. Start with a football shaped head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw out the misshapen form of his body. This part looks like a light bulb. From those shapes draw out the guidelines for his arms, and legs then on those guidelines make the shapes for the hands and feet.

Step 2.

In this next step you will first start to shape out his hair on the left side as shown. After that draw in his cute button nose. When you are done with that you can then make the shape of his big right arm and then draw out the hand fingers and all. Next draw a left hand and then start detailing the body by adding definition lines that will later be for his clothes.

Step 3.

Look at that you are already almost done. This is your last drawing step and all you will do here is draw out the entire face. This task is a very simple one to accomplish. First start off drawing jagged lines for his hair and then make two circles for Igor's innocent looking eyes. Detail the inside of his eye by adding a pupil and then shape out the face and detail his nose. After that you can now detail his shoes as shown with simple lines.

Step 4.

Now that you are done drawing Igor you can erase all of those guidelines and shapes that you drew back in step one. After you are done cleaning up your drawing you are done. You just learned how to draw Igor, bravo! All you have to do now is color him in. That will end this tutorial I will be back with others in a short while.
