STEP 1.
First we want to start off by drawing guide lines, these help us with proportions and poses. The squares in the circle for the head are to help us know where the eyes should be and to help us level them out. The lines on the arms are to help us know where the elbows are, and the line in the middle is to help us locate the general area as to where the curve in the waist should be.
STEP 2.
Now we draw the chin and body. The lines in the middle and at the hips help us know the width of her body.
STEP 3.
Next, we draw her face. As stated in the first step the squares on the circle for the head are to help us pin point the size and width of the eyes so that they are even with each other.
STEP 4.
Drawing her hair. Ramona's hair is short. Like every type of hair style, it has curve to it, as demonstrated in the illustration. We do not want to make her hair look stiff as if she used a life time supply of hair spray on her hair.
STEP 5.
Next, we draw the outlines for her clothing. The goggles wrap around her head, they curve. The clothing is draped upon her, not stiff or as if the clothing was painted onto her body. The little bumps on the clothing is help locate where the folds in her clothing should go.
STEP 6.
Next we add the folds to her clothing. The lines near her neck are her collar bones.
STEP 7.
Add in the final details, such as the details in her belt, jacket, and shorts.
STEP 8.
