How to Draw a Skull with Wings

1

This is going to be a long tutorial to follow but if you take your time you will succeed in completing this lesson. Start by making a circle for the head, and then draw in the guidelines for the face.

2

This is the top part of the skulls head that you will be drawing out but not in a real detailed manor. All you will draw is the two notches for the brows, and the top of the head arch.

3

This part is going to be all about drawing out the cheek bones, and the top jaw shape. Be sure the side of the face are drawn dipped inward.

4

Okay, I know the skull seems pretty small, but it will even out in future steps. Draw in the eye sockets, the nose hole, and then draw in the detailing or definition for the brows like you see here.

5

All you do here is draw out the top row of teeth which are drawn in skeletal form, and be sure to add some detailing to the teeth as well.

6

All you need to do now is draw out the bone in the mouth, and then draw out the bottom jaw which should be squared off.

7

Draw out the bottom row of teeth, and then be sure to draw in the gum line as well. That's about it for this step.

8

Now it's time to start sketching out the wings and as you can see these will be very epic. You will start at the sides of the skull's temples, and then draw a large arch for the bones of the wings. Next, sketch out the lining that forms the feathered

9

Begin sketching out the fluffy or soft parts of the feathers which is at the very arches of the wings bones like you see here.

10

Sketch in more feathers which have slightly larger edges, and be sure you sketch them out to be uniform and neat.

11

Sketch in another layer of feathers for the wings, and as you can see the feather tips are larger, and much more fuller.

12

Okay, finish drawing out the wings with large, feather tips like you see here, and then move to step thirteen.

13

This skull has a pair of feathery eagle legs. You can choose to draw in these or leave the drawing with just the skull and wings holding a bone.

14

For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw out the eagle like feet or claws like you see here, and then erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

15

Here is what the final drawing looks like when you are all done with the skull and wings drawing. Color it in and you're all set.

Description: Let's start the day by learning from a lesson that is cool to look at, and fun to tackle. Today I will be showing you "how to draw a skull with wings", step by step. As you know I have a thing with drawing different types of skull designs, and when thinking up of something new to make, I often turn to my brother who comes up with a bunch of cool ideas. I received a request to make a tutorial on a skull with wings, so when I passed the idea to my brother on what type of design I should make, he suggested that I draw some really large feathered wings attached to the sides of a skull. The concept of a skull with wings is not nothing that hasn't been seen before. As a matter of fact, this is a common symbol used for various companies around the world. To tell you the truth, I can't believe I never made a lesson before on a skull with wings. Unless of course you count the Avenged Sevenfold skull I drew some time back. Anyways, this is really going to be a fun lesson on "how to draw a skull with wings", especially because the wings are so epically awesome. I have to fly out of here for now but I shall return with more drawing fun. Adios people, and have an awesome drawing day!
