How to Draw Altair
Now I know you guys think I’m doing double the tutorials when I submit two of the same lesson. The truth is, when I make a tutorial I also make a video drawing lesson that has me narrating as I go through each step verbally so there is more understanding with how to draw something. Anyways, this is going to be another repeat tutorial, and the reason why I say that is because I already have a lesson on "how to draw Altair" from the hit video game Assassins Creed. In the lesson I submitted about a year ago, I talked all about Altair and who he was and how he got started as a dangerous assassin. It’s kind of hard to go into detail all over again with a character that you already wrote about a while back. There isn’t anything new I can tell you about him, but there is a different way I can show you "how to draw Altair", step by step. I have really gotten the hang of making steps to appear easier, and more understandable. That is one of the reasons why I do more of the same thing sometimes. Anyways, have fun with this submission, I mean how often do you get a chance to draw Altair using a step by step tutorial guide? Peace out people!

STEP 1.
You will be drawing Altair from the side view so start with the shape of the head like you see here. Next, draw out the guidelines for the face and body. The body will form the framework for you character creation.
STEP 2.
Now start sketching out the hood that Altair is best known for wearing. This is his typical attire.
STEP 3.
Now you will start drawing out the hood in better detail by making the trim for the lid.
STEP 4.
Sketch out the face like so, and then add some shading up near the forehead like you see here. When that is done you can move to step five.
STEP 5.
Now begin sketching out the torso starting with the shoulders, and arms like so. The hood also has a V like design like you see here, and then be sure to draw in the bottom trim or border.
STEP 6.
Draw in more of his arm or sleeve like so, and then sketch out more of the torso. Draw in the straps on his back, and then be sure to sketch out the folds on the sleeve.
STEP 7.
Okay, draw his leather style belt that is pretty wide, and then draw out the straps that wraps around his forearm on the sleeve. This should be done neatly.
STEP 8.
You are almost done with this tutorial. What you need to do now is draw out his hand of fist, and then draw in the knife or sword like blade that retracts back into the sleeve. Next, draw in his sword like so, and then sketch in more material that is loose flowing.
STEP 9.
Draw out more of Altair's clothing and be sure it has three points. Add some detailing to the leather sword holster at the tip, and then add some lining design to the clothing as well.
STEP 10.
Sketch out Altair's legs, and then draw in his boots like so. When that is done, you can draw in some of the boot straps.
STEP 11.
Finally, your last drawing step entails the drawing of his feet, and leather boots. Add some lining detail, and then erase the shapes and lines that you drew in step one.
STEP 12.
Here is what he looks like when you are all done. Now color him in and you have an awesome drawing of Altair, the assassin from Assassins Creed.Post a comment
