How to Draw Axel
This is a tutorial that has been long over due and requested by a ton of users. The character that I am gonna show you "how to draw Axel" from Kingdom Hearts 2. Axel is by far a very popular character from this awesome game. I don’t own the game as of yet but I intend to buy Kingdom Hearts 2 very soon. I play the game at my cousin’s house and let me tell you it is so fun and awesome. Now Kingdom Hearts 2 is the sequel to the first Kingdom Hearts. This Square Enix game combines fast pace action with the style of a typical RPG (Role Playing Game). What makes this game so incredibly popular is the story line and characters that are involved. Kingdom Hearts combines characters like Donald Duck and Goofy which are your typical American made creation. The three main characters of the game are; Sora, who is a fifteen year old boy that was chosen to be the master of a weapon called the Keyblade. This weapon holds the power to fight against darkness. Then there is Donald Duck who has the role of court magician to Disney Castle. And finally there is Goofy, he holds the position as the captain of Disney Castle guards. Those are the tree main characters. There are also characters that appear in Kingdom Hearts II like Cloud and Sephiroth and 13 other characters from the Final Fantasy saga. Where is Axel you ask? Before I tell you when Axel comes in the picture, I have to say that Axel is by far one of the most favorited as well as being one of the most recognizable members of Organization XIII. Axel holds the eighth spot in the Organization and his signature weapon is the Chakram which emits the element of fire. Axel has a very unique look and a very recognizable one as well. His hair is fiery red and styled in a spiky fashion, he wears a long black coat that looks almost like a cloak, and he has two purple reverse teardrop shapes under each eye. Now in Kingdom Hearts II Axel is first introduced in Twilight Town and then it takes off from there. Axel has a lot of questions roaming around in his head like, “why does Sora have a Keyblade” and why does he feels compelled to follow Sora where ever he goes. Ultimately Axel has to except the Organization's orders to eliminate Roxas or be destroyed himself. I really can’t get into the game because I would be here for hours on end. If you are a big Kingdom Hearts fan then you already know the story line and what needs to be accomplished by all parties. This tutorial will show you how to draw Axel from Kingdom Hearts 2 step by step. The instructions are easy to follow which means you will be drawing Axel in now time at all. I will be back in a bit with more tutorials on some of my favorite characters that I am into this month. So stick around and stay busy until I return.

STEP 1.
In this first step you will first need to draw out all the guidelines and shapes of Axel to form a solid frame to work with. Start by drawing a circle for his head with the facial guidelines drawn in. Next begin the outlines for the spikes that will be his hair. Now you are ready to draw out the rest of his body frame including the shape of his arms. Also make two circles for his weapon. After you are done just add the guidelines for his neck.
STEP 2.
Now in this step you will first continue to draw the spike for his hair and then start drawing out the shape of his face. After that begin the lining for his eyes and then start shaping and detailing his arms. After that you will first need to draw out the inside shape of the Chakram which look like a very thick plus sign. After that you can start sketching out his hands and fingers and then start detailing the front of his coat with the lines for the zipper and the split on the lower part of the coat.
STEP 3.
Now what you will do is draw out more of his facial features like the eyes a bit more and then a hint of his nose and mouth. You will then begin working on making the spikes for the Chakram as you see in the step above. After you do that start detailing and sketching out the lines on his coat starting at the shoulders. Then draw two lines for the strings and detail the left arm with wrinkles. Now make a line for the chest line and then draw out the shapes for his feet.
STEP 4.
You will now take the time to detail his hair with skinny lines until the hair looks somewhat real. Now you will detail his face by defining the eyes, nose and mouth. You will also need to give him some eyebrows as well. Next draw out the remaining detailing lines on the Chakram and finish sketching in a majority of the detailing lines on his coat.
STEP 5.
All you need to do here is tweak the drawing a bit by first erasing the guidelines and shapes that are visible which you drew in step one. Then you will draw the tear drops under each eye and detail the jacket some more as well as his weapon and boots. After you are satisfied with this step you can proceed onto the next and final step.
STEP 6.
And wha la! You have just completed this tutorial on how to draw Axel from Kingdom Hearst 2. All that is left to do now is color him in and you will be all set. I hope you had fun with this character drawing from the Kingdom Hearts series I will be back soon with more.Post a comment
