How to Draw Raven
Okay in this next tutorial I figured I would draw a character from this really cool cartoon that is on Cartoon Network called Teen Titans. All of my tutorials today are going to be on what I am most into this month. Now because I just discovered this awesome cartoon show I wanted to show you "how to draw Raven" which happens one of my liked characters from the Teen Titans series. Raven is wicked cool because she kind of reminds me of a cross between Storm from the X-Men and Skeletor from He-Man. Now I say Skeletor because she wears the same colors and sort of the same style outfit as well. You know, the whole purple hoodie with a purple cape and boots. She even has that pale bone colored skin. The character of Raven has a bad reputation but she is trying to be good. Her past is some what very mysterious and she also has a creepy telekinetic ability. The problem that Raven has is, being convinced that no matter how good she tries to act or become, her true self is just full of darkness and sorrow. Not only does this purple bomb shell have the ability to move things with her mind, she is also able to see into the future. She has visions about what is going to happen before it happens and most of the time it is never a good thing. The character of Raven originally came from the fictional character of the world of DC Comics. Now the Raven from DC Comics comes from a human mother and a demon father named Trigon. She spent her childhood growing up in another dimension called Azarath were she was taught to suppress her demonic powers as a child, which is why they are uncontrollable now as a teen. At the age of seventeen she went to the Justice League to offer herself as a member but was refused because of her demonic heritage. Because of that, she decided to form a league of her own called Teen Titans. The Teen Titans had super heroes like Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast Boy. Together she made a vow to some how one day defeat her father and take him down. I love this character and the more I watch the show the more interesting she becomes. I show you how easy it is to draw Raven from Teen Titans with this step by step tutorial. The instructions are easy to follow and because of that, it makes drawing Raven a breeze. I hope you like this one, I worked real hard on her and I am trying to master my ability on drawing body poses. I will be back with my second Teen Titan character for you to learn how to draw.

STEP 1.
Start this first step with the guidelines and shapes to help you draw Raven with few problems. First make a circle with facial guidelines for her head. Then you will make an hour glass shape for her figure. After that draw in the guidelines for her arms and legs. You will then draw the shapes of her hands and boots on those guidelines.
STEP 2.
In this next step you will start drawing out the shape of her body. But first start by making the outline of her hoodie and make a heart in the center of her face and then then the lines for her eyes. Now draw the shapes of her breast and then begin shaping out her arms and legs. After you are done with that you can detail her boots at the top and at the tip as shown.
STEP 3.
As you can see this tutorial is not really that hard at all. In fact you are almost done. You will start this step by drawing a larger heart shape around the inside of the hoodie which will be her mask. After that start detailing the top around her neck with wrinkle lines. Next draw out the hands and fingers and then start the outlining for the cape. You will also need to draw the lining for the bottom piece of her suit as well as finish the shape of her legs.
STEP 4.
In this step you will first draw in the shapes of her eyes, mouth and neck. Then you can erase the guidelines from her face. Now draw the connection of the cape in the front just under her chin and make the emblem as well. Finish the lining and detailing of the cape as shown to you here and then draw in the shape and design of her belt. After you are done with that you can erase all the remaining guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. And now she is not wearing a skirt you have to erase that line.
STEP 5.
That is it you are now done drawing Raven. All you have to do now is color her in and call this tutorial complete. I hope you had fun with this awesome tutorial on how to draw Raven from Teen Titans I will be back again with another character for you all so stick around.Comments: Post Comment
