Okay, as you seen in the thumbnail picture, this elephant is going to be great fun to replicate. First start by drawing two round shapes, one for the head and the other for the body. The body circle should be a bit larger than the head shape. Next, d

You will begin drawing out the elephants head by starting with the front or forehead lining which flows into the shape of the elephant's trunk. The trunk should curl in a bit at the tip like you see here.

Starting at the top of the head, draw out the shapes of the elephant's ears like so, and then draw in an oblong shape for the eye. You will also need to color in the eye too.

Now you can start drawing out the body starting with the back, and then draw out the front legs, chest, and some of the belly like so. See how easy this is?

Time to finish off the elephant guys! All you need to do here is draw out the back end of the elephant, draw the hind legs, and then draw out the tail. Don't forget to sketch in some hair at the tip of that tail too. Erase the lines and shapes you dr

Description: What lives in the African plains, is grey in color, huge in size, makes loud noises, and loves playing in the water? If you said an elephant, you guessed right. When children or young teens draw animals, one of the most common animals is the elephant. I know for a fact that this is one difficult species to draw because I had a hard time when I was a novice artist trying to replicate these enormous but beautiful beasts. I think the reason why elephants are challenging to draw is because of the fact that they have so many different shaped body parts. Their heads seem smaller than their ears, the legs are larger than their tails, and their bodies are big and round but stubby at the same time. The skin of the elephant is also a tough area to sketch out as well especially when you are trying to draw an elephant in a realistic manner. That is why I wanted to make a lesson that can teach even the most primitive artist "how to draw an elephant for kids", step by step. There is no way that you will have trouble any longer when attempting to draw an elephant. I had so much fun with this animal because it reminded me of when I was ten years old on a day when I was trying to draw a zoo scene. It didn’t come looking too good but I tried my hardest. Anyways have fun with this tutorial guys, and be sure to keep those requests coming in. Peace out and have a happy drawing day!
