How to Draw Gloria From Madagascar

1

Even though Gloria looks like she is going to be a tough character to draw, she will be relatively easy to tackle. You will start by making the round shape for her head, and then draw in the guidelines for her face, and neck. Next, draw another large

2

Next, begin sketching out the shape of Gloria's hippo head. Start by drawing out the muzzle or snout, and then draw out the bottom part of her mouth which turns into her cheek, and top part of her head. She sort of looks like Barney.

3

Draw in the marking line that separates the two toned color between her nose and face, and then draw out the inner lining of her mouth. Next, use the facial guidelines to draw out her eyes, eyebrows, and incredibly small ears.

4

In this step, you will b e finishing off Gloria's face. What you have to do is draw in her eyes, color in the pupils, and draw in her long eyelashes. Draw the the nostril holes which consists of edgy swirl lines, and then finish drawing out the inner

5

Now you can draw out her body starting with Gloria's arms. Her hands are small and stubby because she is after all a hippo, and hippos are no small animals. Once the arms, hands, and upper torso shape is drawn in, move to step six.

6

Finish drawing out Gloria's body which should be very big, and very round. Her legs are short and stubby and so are her small feet. Don't forget the toes and move to step seven where you will be finishing her off.

7

Draw in some finger nails, toe nails, and three more swirl shapes. Two for her knees, and one for her belly button or navel hole. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up this hippo.

8

Now that you are all done, you can color her in and add her with the rest of her friends. Gloria is gray in color so you should have fun as you add some color to her hyde. Thanks for joining me with this lesson on how to draw Gloria the hippo.

Description: Can you believe that they are going to be coming out with another Madagascar movie which will make it part three in 2012? The great thing about this Madagascar 3 movie, is the fact that all the same voice actors are coming back for another crazy party. When I learned of this awesome news I had to check to make sure I had the four main characters that always stuck together in both one and two. Come to find out, I am missing a lesson on "how to draw Gloria from Madagascar", step by step. Since I haven’t submitted her yet, that is what you will be learning right now. Gloria is voiced by Jada Pinkett Smith, and has been since the characters first start in Madagascar. Ben Stiller is also coming back to be the voice actor of Alex the lion, the subtly funny David Schwimmer is coming back as the voice of Melman the giraffe, and Chris Rock returns to give up his voice talents of Marty the zebra. All four characters are what make the movies watchable. Even though part one was the best, Escape to Africa was just as good too. There is also a new voice actor that will be providing some of his skills and that is the sometimes serious, but courageous Sacha Baron Cohen, you may also know him as Bruno or Borat. For those of you that followed the first two movies, you should already know that Gloria is a stern hippo that has no problem with saying what’s on her mind. She will give it to you straight, but she is also sometimes blinded as well. For a long while she had no idea the Melman was in love with her until the moment came where he told Gloria how he felt as he progressed forward to his death. Of course once she found out how Melman felt, she realized that she too had feelings for him as well. I had fun drawing this character because she is full of life and always has a bright expression on her face. I think you will have a blast learning "how to draw Gloria the hippo" as you follow the steps and read the easy instructions. I will return in a bit, so don’t have a fit. Adios amigos!
