This is going to be one of the easiest gators or alligators you will ever learn how to draw. Start by drawing a circle for the head, and then draw an egg like shape for the body. When that is done draw two lines for the legs, and another for the long

Now you can start sketching out the shape of the gators snout which should be long, and squared at the tip. Be sure to draw out the humps for the brows where the eyes will be housed in.

Starting at the front of the gators nose, draw out the bottom of the mouth, and then the very same lining will also draw the jaw, neck, belly, and tail. The back of the gator should be drawn next, and be sure to add the bumps on the back, and wrinkle

Draw the front and back legs which should also have the feet with four toes drawn in as well. There should also be a left foot peeking through near the head too. Draw in the eye, and slits for the nose. Now you can draw out the spikes that flow down

For the last step all you have to do is add detailing on the brow, draw in the eyeball, and teeth, and then add the skins detailing or defining texture. This includes the back grooves, tail grooves and spikes, and small circles on the legs. Erase the

Once your gator is all cleaned up you should have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color in this massive reptile and you are done.

Description: I know most of you would rather have me submit tutorials on cool characters from manga/anime, or video game figures that we all know and love. Sometimes there are folks that would rather have a lesson that could teach them how to create an animal species that they are fanatics about, or interested in. Today I thought I would fulfill a request that has been sitting in my request folder for about two months. The reason why I chose to do the drawing now, is because the crane I submitted did significantly well with other artists, visitors, and members. Today, you will be taught "how to draw a gator", step by step. Yes this is the same as learning to draw an alligator I just thought naming the reptile something different would be easier for folks to find. I mean come on, how many times do you think someone types in how to draw an alligator opposed to how to draw a gator. The difference is pretty significant. Sometimes people are looking for one specific thing and the way they search for it is the way they pronounce it. Folks that live way down south like in Louisiana and Florida, call alligators, gators. These beasts will always wreak havoc no matter where they go. They are even considered a good meal in some places. Anyway enjoy this lesson on "how to draw a gator". If there is another animal species you would like to see as a tutorial, just let me know. Peace out folks and have fun!
