Since you will be making this turkey from the side, it should be that much easier to draw. Start with a circle for the head, and then draw an egg shape for the body. Connect a big flared style shape for the turkey's tail and then add the guidelines f

Now you will start sketching out the actual shape of the turkey's body starting with the head, neck, chest, and body.

Now begin sketching out the turkey's wing like so, and then begin drawing out the individual tail feathers in a spread open effect. Once that is done you can draw out the turkey thigh, (yum), and then make the beak.

Finish drawing out the beak, and then draw out the gobbler or caruncles. Make a very friendly looking eye, and then draw out the feet and toes. Once that is all done you can add some feathering detail on the wing, and then begin erasing the lines and

Guess what you guys just did? You just drew an easy turkey. Wasn't that fun everyone. Go ahead and color in your big bird and when you are done you can cut out the turkey and paste or magnetize it in your refrigerator. Good job guys!

Description: Okay guys here it is, the lesson you have all been waiting for. A tutorial on "how to draw an easy turkey", step by step. I have a few turkey tutorials on the site and if you look over to the Top 50, you will see one of them is at number thirty five. I always find that people love drawing turkeys around Thanksgiving and nothing else. To be honest with you I would think that a turkey tutorial would be really popular during turkey hunting season. Nonetheless, having a lesson on an easy gobbler is something that many novice artists will appreciate, at least I hope they do. I was supposed to upload this tutorial yesterday but I forgot to make the steps for the drawing. As you know every drawing needs steps in order for it to be turned into a lesson. If you were to ask me if I had fun making an easy turkey, I would have to say...yeah, I guess I did. One of my favorite parts to the turkey is the way I colored it in. I tried to make a realistic feather effect instead of a plain old solid coloring job. I personally think it came out nice, and very colorful and festive. Anyways this is going to be a fun tutorial on "how to draw an easy turkey", step by step. Have fun with it, and also have an awesome Thanksgiving day. Remember not to get too stuffed by easting all the stuffing...haha okay that was kind of ridiculous. Bye!
