The first thing you will do is draw the shape of Master Monkey's head like so. When that is done you can go ahead and make the outline of his upper body, and then draw in the limb guidelines for the tail, legs, and arms.

2

Now sketch out the skin based face Master Monkey is designed with. Some monkey species have fury faces, and some have little or no exposed skin. Once this is complete, you can start drawing the shape of his head, and right arm like so.

3

Sketch out the left arm, and then draw in the large hands too. Once that is done, sketch out the remainder of his body which is the stomach, and thighs. Begin drawing in his face consisting of eyes, nose, and a mouth. As you can see his hand is place

Keep sketching out the head until you have a well detailed and defined structure. Finish the eyes, and then the hands too. Next draw the belt or sash around the waist, and then go ahead and sketch out the lower portion of his legs, and monkey feet.

Draw in the studs on the wrist bands like so, and then add the detailing to the sash. Draw the cloth wrap around the lower legs to show that he is wearing some form of gi, and then draw out his thick, long monkey tail. Add definition to the rest of h

When you are all done, Master Monkey should look like the primate you see here. Color him in to finish this kung fu specialist off. Great job guys, and be sure to join me once again real soon.

Description: It's now time to submit another character from Kung Fu Panda like I mentioned I was going to do earlier this week. After I teach you guys "how to draw Master Monkey", step by step I will only have two figures left from the character list. Master Monkey is probably the most laid back of the five masters. What I like most about this figure from Kung Fu Panda, is the fact he himself was once considered to be the towns comedian or a trickster if you will. That pretty much explains why he takes a strong liking to Po in the beginning, as well as a strong sense of understanding when it comes to down to Po not being able to express himself fully in the beginning. In the past before Monkey became a martial arts expert or master, he was somewhat of a troubled youth as he used to get off on being a bit malicious. What I mean by that is, instead of being a regular jouster, he would intentionally hurt others by making them slip and fall, and some other really bad mannered incidents. Because he was this way, his towns people were so incredibly sick of his ways. This lead them to getting him kicked out of the town no matter if that meant he had to be killed. Nowadays Master Monkey is a wise one, and out of the five masters, he is the only one that uses a weapon which is a staff. It is known that many martial arts experts used staffs as part of their fighting technique. This lesson should be rather simple to follow, but it may be a little difficult for novice artists to complete. Even though I feel this way, I'm confident enough to think that no matter what your skill level, you should be able to "draw Master Monkey" if you follow the steps and instructions provided. I will be back a bit later with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what I will upload next. Peace people, and have an awesome drawing Friday!
