1

Draw a crescent moon shaped head, and then draw the shape of the muzzle which is the upper jaw, and lower jaw.

2

Sketch out the shape of his head as you see it here and be sure to include the fury detailing or lining so that he looks like a lion. Notice how the mouth lining is darker then the rest of the lining.

3

Look how awesome Aslan's mane is. You will now start sketching out his big, wide open mane in strands instead of pieces. Once that is done, you can move onto drawing out the nose, and then the top and bottom row of teeth. Sketch in his eye, and then

4

Finish sketching out the teeth, tongue, and then add some definition inside of the mouth. Draw out his hairy looking ear, and then add more detailing to Aslan's mane.

5

For the last drawing step, all you need to do is erase the lines and shapes that you drew ion step one. Add some sketched in detailing to the mane, and then move to step six.

6

Look how awesome Aslan looks now that you are done drawing him out. All you have to do now is color him in and that's it. I had an awesome time drawing Aslan with you all, and I think you guys did too.

Description: Remember when I said I was going to upload a tutorial on a character from The Chronicles of Narnia? Well, here it is. I have been asked by so many members and visitors to do a tutorial on "how to draw Aslan", step by step. I mean, I really couldn’t tell you why I have never drew or uploaded a lesson on Aslan especially knowing how he is one of the main figures in the Narnia series. Now as it goes, Aslan is said to be the first known creature that lives in Narnia. But even though he lives in Narnia, Aslan is actually from a place called Aslan’s Country. He is also known as the Emperor Over the Sea’s son. I decided to draw this righteous lion from the side view because that is how I remember his face when I first seen Chronicles of Narnia. He is a mighty soul that is noble, wise, and full of power to a point where he could potentially dangerous. He really isn’t going to be that hard to draw because I didn’t sketch out a realistic version of him. Instead, I chose to create a drawing that looks very much like a poster image. Overall you should enjoy learning "how to draw Aslan" because who wouldn’t want to make their own creation of the most powerful animal in all of Narnia. Peace out people, and have an awesome drawing day.
