This isn't a drawing step is more like a a tip step. Here I explain how the griddle of the diamond should look, and how the rounded arches should be spaced and placed. This gives the gem a hardened and protected look. The griddle is the mid section o

Here I explain or actually show you in a diagram of movement, how the bottom of the diamond should be drawn. Notice there are several different lines that makes up the base of this jewel. The bottom of the diamond is called the pavillion.

Now we will start this lesson. First draw a sort of short vertical line, and then a longer horizontal like like you see here.

4

Using the two lines you drew in step one, draw the top of the diamond which should be flat. Come down on each edge and make an angle that eventually comes to a point at the base.

Now you will begin drawing in the uniform shapes that makes up the diamonds design, and genetic make up. Take your time so you come out with something very even, and perfectly symmetrical. This part of the diamond is called the crown.

For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw out the lines that make up the design of the pavillion. Notice how the ends of each line do not meet up at the very tip of the base. The bottom of a diamonds base tip is called the cutlet. Erase t

When you are done this is how the diamond looks. You can color it in to a nice pink, green, or whatever color you want. A good idea on what type of color to shade in your diamond with, is maybe go by your birthstone shade.

Description: I’m just going to very quickly upload a few old tutorials that have been sitting in my folder for three days already. To start, I will show you "how to draw diamonds", step by step. I know there is already a submitted lesson on a diamond that was uploaded by Teton, and she did a great job finding an awesome lesson from Youtube. Instead of talking about where diamonds come from, I will just give you my opinion on what I think about diamonds. Now obviously I’m going to say that they are a beautiful jewel that shines and glimmers with a hint of twinkling power. I myself wouldn't mind owning some jewelry that contains diamonds in them, but I could also do without. One of the things that makes me not care for this gem is the fact that they are artificially priced rocks that are only popular because of one single corporation, and that is De Beers. I’m not going into details because not everyone will understand what the heck I’m talking about. Even though I don’t agree with how diamonds where brought to popularity so long ago, I still think they are beautiful pieces, and learning "how to draw diamonds" is going to be fun because there is so many different things you can use this object for in art. I do hope you like this simple lesson, and maybe you can create something wonderful with the finished sketch. Peace out my fellow peeps, and have a happy drawing day.
