How to Draw The Crow

Start this step by making a circle for the head, and then make the shape of the face. Add the facial guidelines and then draw the shoulder lines like so.

You will now start sketching out the shape of the face, and then draw out the hand lines, and then the other hand lines.

As you can see the face will start to take shape when you are done sketching out this third step. To start, sketch out the hand, and fingers like so, and then draw out the bangs or hairline, and sketch out the shapes of the eyes which are egg shapes

Now it's time to sketch out the hairstyle which is shoulder length. Sketch in all the strands like you see here for added texture, and body. Eric's hair is sort of wavy so keep that in mind. Draw out the right arm, and then the hand as well. When tha

Since Eric is in a dark or blackened in background you will need to begin shading in all the red areas. Color around the eyes, color in the mouth, and some of the arm sock like so. Be sure to also add some hair strand pieces for added body, definitio

For the last drawing step, you will need to erase all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can clean up this portrait of Eric Draven. Color in the other arm sock, and then add some detailing to it as well to make it look shinny, and

Description: “It can’t rain all the time!” That is one of my favorite quotes from one of my all-time favorite movies. Because Halloween is only a few days away, I thought I would do a tutorial of a specific character that you will all know so well. Today, I will be showing you "how to draw The Crow", step by step. Of course this character movie name is Eric Draven, and believe it or not, but the movie was actually based on a comic that was written by a fella named James O’Barr. The comic book series reflected the life and death of O’Barr’s girlfriend who died by a drunk driver. The Crow is a cult classic and is by far one of the first Gothic based flicks that have ever been created. The comic book story is a bit different then the movie. In the comic, Eric and his fiancée Shelly are harassed by a group of thugs when their car breaks down on the side of the road. Eric is shot in the head leaving him paralyzed as he watches the love of his life get beaten and raped by these hoodlums. They are both left for dead on that very same roadside, and Eric is later brought back to life by a crow. Now in the movie, a gang breaks into their house because the person they work for is trying to get the last remaining residents out of the building. Eric and Shelly refuse to leave, and that is when the men decide to kill Eric, and beat and rap Shelly. Eric is brought back to life by a crow after he is buried in the cemetery. He goes back to the place that he and his fiancé lived, and remembers the love they had for each other, and how they died. Before death Eric was in a band as the lead guitarist and singer. If you have never seen The Crow before, I urge any of you that are reading this description to go out and rent or better yet, buy the movie. For now you will get an awesome tutorial on "how to draw The Crow", step by step. I know some of you may be surprised that I even created such a lesson because he is such an awesome character from my teenage years.
