How to Draw Snow White

1

What you will do first is draw out the guidelines and shapes to form a nice body frame for Snow White. Start by drawing out a nicely shaped circle for her head with some facial and body guides too.

2

Sketch out her face, and then draw the hairline that frames Snow White's face.

3

It's time now to draw in her actual face, and this includes the eyes, eyebrows, pupils, nose and then her very friendly smile. Make sure that the lips are well defined.

4

Finish sketching out her short bobbed hairstyle like so, and then draw her bow decorated headband. Next, draw the neck shape and move to step five.

5

Draw her high rounded collar like so, and then draw the puffy shoulder sleeves. Be sure to add some pleats to the sleeves and then draw in her curvy torso.

6

You will now sketch out Snow White's soft posed arms and hands like you see here. Take your time if you are not used to drawing arms and hands.

7

Now you will need to draw in Snow White's bell shaped gown and when you do this make sure to draw in that flowing style of her dress.

8

Draw in her pleats on her dress which adds fluff and poise to her gown. Draw in the detailing on the top portion of her dress and then draw some spotted pleats on the puffy shoulders. Clean up the drawing and you are all done.

9

Here is what your Snow White looks like when you are all done. Color her in and be on your way.

Description: Howdy everyone and welcome back to another tutorial from yours truly. Today I thought I would bring out the girl in me and do a tutorial on yet another one of my favorite childhood characters from Disney’s animated cartoons. So today I will be showing you all "how to draw Snow White". She is the beautiful, innocent, and lovable character from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The very first time I seen this movie I must have been at least five or six years old. Back then I was into movies so much that I literally had a huge collection of any kind of kid movie you can imagine, which would explain my love for art. As soon as I turned eight I really got into drawing big time. The first thing I started drawing was dinosaurs, than I moved to drawing dragons. From that I moved onto drawing fantasy characters and aliens and all kinds of neat imaginary creatures and weird objects. I come from a long line of very artistic people in my family both my mother and father were at one point very artist themselves until they got older. A few of my uncles and cousins are artist as well. One of my cousins just started his own tattoo business and he does all his tattoos by hand which is pretty impressive. He is 19 now and he has been free hand drawing since he was nine. Anyway let’s get back to talking about the beautiful Snow White. I’m sure that a majority of you have all seen the movie, read the book, or watched the play. But if you are one of those people that hasn’t had the pleasure to watch this movie in any form I will give you a quick recap I will start it off with the opening dialog from the Disney film itself, it goes; “Once upon a time there lived a lovely little princess named Snow White. Her vain and wicked stepmother the Queen feared that some day Snow White's beauty would surpass her own. So she dressed the little Princess in rags and forced her to work as a Scullery Maid. Each day the vain Queen consulted her Magic Mirror, "Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" and as long as the Mirror answered, 'You are the fairest one of all,' Snow White was safe from the Queen's cruel jealousy”. Well eventually the mirror replied that Snow White was the fairest one of all, and that drove the Queen insane. So one day she had one of her huntsmen take Snow White into the forest to kill her and cut out her heart. But the Huntsman could not bring himself to harm the sweet princess so instead he told her to run and never return because the Queen wanted her dead. Snow White ran as fast as she could deep into the forest while the Huntsman returned a heart, but not of Snow White, but from a pig instead. Snow White eventually came to a small house where the seven dwarves lived. The story ends with her meeting a prince and they lived happily ever after. Of course there was that part where the wicked Queen tried to keep the beautiful princess in a deep penetrating sleep for all eternity. But that is that. I hope you all like this tutorial on "how to draw Snow White", step by step with simple to understand and read instructions. I will see you all with another tutorial soon.
