How to Draw Chibi Katy Perry
I have some really neat and exciting lessons coming your way today, and I can’t wait to get them all up. How about we do something chibi style? I thought it would be fun to make a tutorial out of Katy Perry. You know the popular pop star that has odd style, and colorful clothes. Anyways, today I’m going to show you "how to draw chibi Katy Perry", step by step. I was trying to think up some cool ideas on how to draw her out, and what type of style or clothing I was going to use for her so you can tell who this chibi character was supposed to be. After about twenty minutes I came up with the solution, I was going to draw Katy dressed with nothing on like she does for her California Gurls video cover. I had so much fun making this drawing and lesson. Even though I’m not a humongous Katy Perry fan, I still had a blast when I was drawing the chibi version of her out. The only thing I forgot to add, which you can do later, is the puffy cloud that covers her behind. I figured it would be much cuter to "draw chibi Katy Perry" with just the outline of her bum in a childish, fun way. I think you’ll have an awesome time with the day’s first tutorial, and if you don’t, try out another lesson of your choice that has been submitted earlier in the week, or in the past few years. STEP 1.
Lets get started with this fun lesson. Start by drawing out a shape for her head, and then add another odd shape for her upper body which will be laying downward. Lastly, draw in the guidelines for the face and legs.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the shape of her face, and then draw in the big shapes of her eyes, and thick or bold lashes. One thing that remains the same with the regular version of Katy Perry and the chibi version of her, is her eyes. Both the chibi and human form of Katy have great big eyes.
STEP 3.
Okay, finish drawing out the shape of her cute face, and then start sketching out the simple style of her hair. Notice how some of the hair falls on the ground, and some is resting on her shoulder. Move to the next step when you feel confident that you have drawn her hair out to the best of her ability.
STEP 4.
Not too much longer to go before we have a finished drawing of chibi Katy Perry. Draw in her headband, more lashes, her chibi mouth, and then draw her arms, hands, and the back, butt, leg, and foot. Take your time so she comes out looking epic.
STEP 5.
Now you will have to color in her great big eyes, and then draw a heart on her headband like so. When that is done, draw her other hand, which is holding an ice cream cone, and her other foot and leg along with her belly. To end this step, all you have to do is draw the puffy clouds, that she is laying on and move to the last drawing step.
STEP 6.
Finally, you made it to the last drawing step of this tutorial on drawing the chibi version of Katy Perry. All you have to do here is draw out the great big cloud she is floating and relaxing on. When that is done you can begin erasing all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.
STEP 7.
When the drawing is done, you have an awesome chibified version of the very popular Katy Perry. Now you can color her in, and make her whole. I hope you had fun guys, remember to join me again for more drawing fun.Post a comment
