How to Draw Italy
Remember yesterday when I said I was going to be submitting two characters from the anime/manga “Hetalia”? Well, I submitted Germany, but I forgot to upload the tutorial on "how to draw Italy", step by step. Today I will pick up where I left off yesterday. Now, N. Italy is the series main hero which means everything he does has a logical consequence to his actions. Italy is a very colorful character, and I think that’s why he is so liked, and talked about. Now if you had a name that is the same as the very popular culinary country, you better believe that you will love pastas and pizza dishes because those are signature meals for the country of Italy. Not many people know that the anime Hetalia was in fact derived from a webcomic. After gaining so much popularity, Hetalia was published by Gentosha Comics back in 2008. The first part to a three part series was released in March of 2008, the second part was released in December of 2008, and the third part was recently debuted in May of 2010. As of today, I am still gaining knowledge on the series, and on the characters. If there is a figure from Hetalia you would like to see as a lesson, just leave me a request, and I will do my best to get it filled as quickly as possible. STEP 1.
Draw a head shape, and then the triangular shaped body. When that is done you can draw in the limb lines which consists of just the arms, legs, and face lines.
STEP 2.
Completely draw out the entire outline of Italy's body. Start by sketching out the head, ears, chin, and then the neck. When that is done you can draw Italy's outfit which should look a bit baggy around the waist. Draw the legs, and feet, and then move to step three.
STEP 3.
Now you can draw his hairstyle which is almost like a bowl cut, and then draw in the eyes, and mouth. Draw the collar, and lapels of the jacket, and then draw in the belt and jacket opening at the bottom. Once that is done add some loose material folds on the sleeves, and then draw in the boot cuffs which are mid shin long. Be sure to draw in a 'v' shaped notch on the boots cuff, and when you are done, move to step four.
STEP 4.
It's now time to draw the other eye, add a swirl like line sticking out from his head, and then draw in the shirt collar, tie, and then line the collar with stitch designs. Next, draw in the two large front chest pockets on the jacket, and then add some folds, wrinkles, and creases on the bottom of the jacket and sleeves.
STEP 5.
well guys you did it, you made it to the last drawing step. All you need to do now is draw out the lower pockets, his hands, and then add some detailing to the boots. Once that is all done you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes you drew in step one.
STEP 6.
Now that you just drew Italy, you can color him in so he looks as colorful as he acts. I hope you had fun drawing this Hetalia character as much as I did. great work everyone, and join me again real soon.Comments: Post Comment
