STEP 1.

Everything starts out with basic shapes, look at the orc and study the basic shapes

STEP 2.

Here I broke most of the orc into basic shapes.

STEP 3.

Now we can begin to fill in some of the basic details. Add the beard and armor. Add teeth and fingers.

STEP 4.

Now we can really begin to add more detail.I added coin mail and depth to hi loin cloth. I also added spikes to his armor.

STEP 5.

Using an artificial light source helps me to add shadows. Orcs usually have dings and scars, add them wherever you want.

STEP 6.

There you go! You now have your very own orc.
