Since you are drawing two blooms, you will need to do double the work. Start by making two shapes with the one on the left being larger then the one on the right. Next, add a smaller circle in the middle, and then draw six spider like lines coming fr

2

You can no start sketching out the leaves that have wavy like edges, and be sure to take your time. The petals look a little like seaweed at this stage, so be patient as they will develop more in later steps.

3

Continue to sketch out the petals, and also keep drawing them in the same uniform pattern like you see here. Now they went from looking like seaweed, to looking like starfish.

4

Now it's time to draw the loose green leaves that embed the bloom like you see here. This is why the poinsettia is such an awesome festive Christmas plant, because they are red and green in color. Make sure that the tips are drawn to look a bit wispy

5

Here you will finish drawing out the leaves for the poinsettia to the right, and then start sketching in all the definition and texture detailing to the petals. These are what you call rib lines. Keep at it until your flowers are completely detailed

6

For your last drawing step, begin erasing all the shapes and guidelines you drew in step one. Once that is done you can then add the centers of the flowers like you see here, and add some more definition to the leaves and petals.

7

Guess what you did? You just learned how to draw poinsettias all by yourself just by using this simple drawing tutorial. I hope you had fun, and I know you will still continue to have a good time because you have to color them in as well.

Description: Every season has a flower that goes with the weather. For instance, in the spring, tulips begin to bloom and lilies start to blossom. In the summer roses start turning from buds to flowers, and yards, and gardens are filled with blazing stars, and Chrysanthemums. When autumn comes around the corner, flowers like hardy mums, and poppies start popping up everywhere. Now when the winter months arrive, you may think that there is no flower that can withstand the icy cold temperatures that hits the air from November to May. The Poinsettia is the flower of choice and it’s mainly because it is a festive flower to go along with the holiday season. This tutorial is going to show you "how to draw Poinsettias", step by step. I drew two blooming plants, one is white, and the other is red. I think you will like this tutorial because I have never submitted a lesson on a Poinsettia before. The steps should be easy to follow so that drawing a poinsettia should be simple to replicate. There is still one more submission coming your way before I call it a day. Don’t fret because I will still be going live later today at 8pm, so be there or be square. Adios people, and don’t forget to have a blast drawing this Christmas flower between the months of November, December, and January.
