How to Draw Mortal Kombat
Okay, a very long time ago I was asked to do a lesson on an emblem from a popular game turned movie series. Believe or not, but this tutorial has been sitting in my folder for two weeks. I never put it up because I just forgot about it until yesterday. Whenever I make a lesson, I put them in folders that have names. For instance, all my anime will go into an anime folder, all the animals will go into an animal folder, and so on an so forth. The way I stumbled upon this tut, is because it was just sitting in the video games folder where the Koopalings where located. So, having said all that jazz how about you finally learn "how to draw Mortal Kombat", step by step. The Mortal Kombat logo or emblem is one of the coolest I’ve seen thus far. I have been a fan of this video game since I was young, and I still play it occasionally with my brother on our old PlayStation. One of my favorite characters is Raiden, and Scorpion, as well as Johnny Cage, and Sub-Zero. Some other popular characters are Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Kano, Goro, Reptile, Kitana, Kung Lao, Mileena, Jade and of course Shang Tsung. I know there are a bunch of other major characters in the game series but the ones named here are some of my favorites, and some of the more recognized. Anyway, all you have to do to "draw Mortal Kombat" emblem is make a silhouette of a Chinese style dragon head surrounded by a circle. Of course I know that is not what the actual symbol is colored in like, I just wanted to make the image more visible without all the dark colors. STEP 1.
You will start by drawing two lines. Draw the first line like you are about to draw a big "S" but stop half way, the second line is just an arched dash on top of the long line which is going to be the actual shape of the dragons neck.
STEP 2.
Now begin drawing out the outline of the dragon head like so, and be sure to include the tongue, and frills on the head top.
STEP 3.
Continue to sketch out the shape or structure of the Mortal Kombat dragon. Once that is done you should have a solid drawing including the tongue and jaw. Next and lastly for this step, draw in the eye, and nostril hole.
STEP 4.
Now you can start drawing out the back of the neck and as you can see there is a bunch of bumps or frill along the way.
STEP 5.
Finish drawing out the neck like so, and then cap off the bottom so that the head is closed off.
STEP 6.
Now all you have to do is erase those lines you made in step one, and then draw a thick bold circle around the entire dragon head like so.
STEP 7.
Once you color the dragon in as well as the ring, you should have a nicely drawn symbol that belongs to the Mortal Kombat game series. I hope you had fun guys!Post a comment
