STEP 1.
Draw the outline of the head. Leave the top open for the hair, but you can draw in a guideline for the height of the hair as well.
STEP 2.
Draw the fringe. Remember, she is supposed to be happy, so make it so that there is a light breeze away from the view point to add to the comfortable atmosphere.
STEP 3.
Draw in the rest of the hair. Experiment with the length! You don't need to do the same as I have, as long as you remember to incorporate that light breeze.
STEP 4.
Draw in the shoulders and T-shirt. Add wrinkles where needed.
STEP 5.
Draw the arms and dress. The arms are thrown outwards in a happy gesture and the dress just makes it more interesting, you don't need to put it in.
STEP 6.
draw in the eyes, and detail on the ear. make sure you get the placement of the eyebrow right otherwise, she could end up looking scared or shocked!
STEP 7.
this is the easy bit!! draw the nose, mouth and collar bone!!!
STEP 8.
