Hey everyone! Right now at DragoArt I'm working on some really cool tutorials that are going to be submitted today. One of the tutorials I wanted to submit (that isn't mine of course), is on “how to draw a weapon step by step”. The video I found for this awesome lesson is extremely helpful and the artist is Jay French. He guides you through the tips and tricks on drawing the common medieval weapons you know from popular movies like Lord of the Rings and Eragon. I might make a more in depth tutorial in the future based on this important subject. Of course, I'd have to scatter through my huge book of weapons to retrieve a more solid concept of them. You can't teach if you have no idea on what your drawing is about. Learning to “draw a weapon” can be a bit difficult because there are so many types of them in general. I bought a weapon book a while ago, and it's a great reference that shows you details on how they are built, what they're used for, and so much more info that will help artists understand them. If you research on what you're drawing, you'll have a greater chance on drawing it accurately. Most professionals strive to receive this “accuracy” in their drawings. If you check out the amazing – breathtaking artists of World of Warcraft, you'll definitely understand what I'm talking about. Don't limit your imagination there, expand and learn the different types of weapons. Mix and match your favorites to build a new concept that will explode in popularity of awesomeness. Anyways, I have to go now; I really hope you'll enjoy this tutorial on “how to draw weapons step by step”. Thanks a lot and have fun with your future artistic endeavors.
