1

Draw two head shapes that will differ in size and shape. Next, draw the guidelines for the faces, and body outlines as well.

2

Thicken the lining for both the dog, and cat like you see here, and then add their closed eyes, noses, and the kitty's mouth and whiskers.

3

For your last drawing step, all you need to do is draw the ears, and the rest of their body shapes. When that is done, draw the legs, paws, and the kitty's tail. Erase all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

4

Here is how your two animals look when you are sleeping, all you need to do now is color them in. I hope you had fun, be sure to join me for another fun, easy, and cute lesson soon.

Description: Well folks it’s official, I have never submitted a paired lesson on two animals that are known to either get along, or chase and fight. This is the day that you will learn "how to draw a cat and dog", step by step. What better animals to pair together then the two most common house pets. I actually got the idea from a member that had requested for me to do this type of lesson. Now of course I was going to jump on this project right away because Dragoart has no tutorials listed for a cat and dog drawing. Now, I had to draw the dog and cat sleeping because that is when they are the cutest. Instead of making two hard to draw animals, I chose to do very simple looking ones that are going to be a blast to tackle. At first I was going to draw my German Shepherd, and my cat, but instead just a regular looking bunch is better, for simplicity purposes. After all, it’s always fun drawing easy animals isn’t it? I’ll be back soon, so stay tuned. Peace!
