How to Draw Hollow
Hey guys, I feel like I should get something straight. I read some of the comments on the cartoon emo, and I got a bit offended as well. First off, I just want to say that I am in no way, shape, or form poking fun at any individual that is emo. If you read my description the drawing was based on a movie character from “Wedding Crashers”. As you know, comedic movies tend to exaggerate on how they interpret a certain genre of people. The flick was simply trying to make a stereotypical statement on how America portrays “emo” people to be. I for one thought it was brilliant because not only did they get some facts right, they also exaggerated the “off” facts. You would understand what I mean if you seen or watched the movie. Anyway, I’m done with that subject, it’s time to talk about something new. This tutorial is all about "how to draw Hollow", step by step. These are characters from the Bleach series whether it be the manga or anime. One of the most popular Hollow characters is Ichigo. In fact, the character in this tutorial that you will be learning from is of his new Hollow form. All this sounds and looks good, but what exactly is a Hollow anyway? Well, they are creatures that are born from human souls that have either never completed the cross over process to Soul Society, and for other different reasons. Hollows are spirits that are evil, and they have all sorts of supernatural powers. Some of these powers are so strong, that sometimes a Hollow has the ability to swallow the souls of either dead or alive humans, and they don’t discriminate. I know what you are asking yourself, "how on earth do you kill such an entity"? If you want to kill a Hollow, you would have to split their heads and mask in two. No matter what, these beings are super powerful, and really intimidating. One of the baddest looking characters of the Bleach series is Ichigo himself. If you are a fan of Bleach, you should love this lesson that will teach you "how to draw Hollow", in a fast and easy way. Remember, you will not only benefit from this tutorial, you will also draw Ichigo in his new Hollow form. I have to blaze out of here because there is still three more lessons that have to go up before the nights end. Enjoy the rest of your drawing day, and be sure to keep your heads up, and keep on drawing.

STEP 1.
Begin creating the wire like framing for this Hollow character as you see here. Start with a circle for the head, and then add the guidelines for the face, horns, shoulders, torso, and arms.
STEP 2.
Begin sketching out the shape of the bony face like you see here, and then color in the squinted like eyes. make the lining for the nose shape, and then move to step three.
STEP 3.
Wow, what a transformation your Hollow is going to take once this step is done. What you should do first is draw the horns like so, and then draw the skeletal mouth. Color in some tribal like inking lines, and then draw the long hair which is blowing in the breeze. Next, get the shoulders and arms sketched out, and then add the fury or hair like patches omitting from the collar bone area.
STEP 4.
Continue to sketch out the shape and skinny style of the body, and sketch in the form of his chest. Define the arms with some muscle definition, and and draw a hollow hole in the upper middle of the chest. Color in the spider like design on the chest, and then add more hair between the arms.
STEP 5.
I think you are ready to finish drawing this Hollow, what do you think? All you need to do is sketch in the muscle definition on the chest and stomach, and then finish drawing out the long straight hair. Erase the guidelines and shapes you drew in step one to clean up the drawing, and then move to the last line art step to see what your sketch should look like.
STEP 6.
Once you are done, your character should look like the one you see here. Color it in, and you have just drawn your very own Hollow. Great job everyone!Comments: Post Comment
