How to Draw Optimus Prime From Transformers

I am going to be showing all of you today how to draw a Transformer that goes by the name of Optimus Prime. I’m sure you are all aware of who he is and what he stands for and believes in. First off he is a character from the all time popular multi cartoon series Transformers: Generations 1, Transformers Generation 2, Machine Wars, Transtech, Robot Masters, Transformers: Titanium, Transformers: Alternators, Transformers: Classics, and Transformers: Universe. Optimus Prime along with all of the Autobots is from the planet Cybertron. The Autobots are often seen fighting with the evil forces of their arch enemies the Decepticons. They have been battling the Decepticons for decades. The Autobots fight the Decepticons to keep the control over their home world and to keep peace within the universe. Optimus Prime is the leader of all the Autobots and he is also the largest, strongest, and wisest of them all. When he is in his auto form he is a bold and massive 18 wheeler which visually gives him the leader image. To Optimus Prime, he feels that his role is to protect all life, including the lives of humans on the planet earth. He is a very noble, brave, and heroic leader that believes that all life is worth saving. Originally the Transformers started out as simple toys that was manufactured by Hasbro and promoted by a comic book company named Marvel Comics. They also did an animated series (as you know). Even though you could view the Transformers by either comic book or by television, it was in fact the animated series that gave these car stomping characters their star power and fame. Children absolutely loved these regular looking cars and trucks because they transformed into what kids love the most, robots. When the series became overwhelmingly popular that is when the sale of their toy counter parts became scarce to come by. The more fame these Autobots and Decepticons got, the more of a collectible they became. There are of course five main characters that stand out on each side of good and evil. First you have Optimus Prime which is who we are learning how to draw today. Now he is absolutely the personification of courage, strength and integrity. His motto is “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings”. Then we have the adorable and funny BumbleBee who is a yellow Camaro with black bold stripes that run down the middle of his car formation in the movie, but in the series he is a yellow Volkswagen Beetle. BumbleBee is considered to be an Autobot spy. He is definitely an Autobot that enjoys the company of humans. Than we have Jazz which is a modified Pontiac Solstice in his auto form in the movie, but in the series he is a Martini Porsche 935 Turbo . He is more of an Autobot that enjoys the finer things in life. Next is Ironhide which is a modified GMC Topkick 6500. He is known to be the toughest Autobot that can be found. He is the muscle that backs up the words of Optimus Prime. Lastly we have Ratchet who is a modified Hummer H2 in the movie, bit in the animated series he is an ambulance and acts as a medic to aid the injured Autobots. As for the Decepticon side you have the evil Megatron who is the leader of the Decepticons. Than comes Barricade who in the film is a hot Saleen 5281 Mustang. Starscream is next of the Decepticons he is portrayed as a Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor in the movie. Next we have Blackout who is a Sikorsky MH53 Pave Low III. Finally there is that bug looking Decepticon Frenzy who is a simple Boombox. In this tutorial you will be learning how to draw one of the most popular of the Autobots, Optimus Prime.
