Well, since I submitted a lesson on something fun, I decided the next tutorial I will upload is going to be on something exciting. Now, my father's birthday is coming up pretty soon, and I wanted to draw a character that he is a fan of, and I bet a lot of you guys are too. For my second lesson for the day, I will show you "how to draw Scarface", step by step. For those of you that are familiar with this movie character, you already know who exactly Scarface is. He is known as the infamous, and no nonsense Cuban named Tony Montana. Montana is played by one of the greatest actors in the world which is Al Pacino. Pacino is by far one of my favorite actors, and there is so many other movies that I loved him in like Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Devils Advocate, Carlito's Way, Heat, Donnie Brasco, and yes, even The Godfather I, II, and III. Although I have to say that part three didn't really do anything for me, but his acting was superior. Anyways, Tony Montana comes to America with his buddy Manolo, or Manny Ribera which is played by Steven Bauer. The flick surrounds the life of Tony Montana, who back in the early eighties, built up an incredible drug, and crime empire in just a short amount of time. The movie was directed by the very talented Brian De Palma, and the screenplay was written by Oliver Stone. The movie itself is a recreation of the thirties version of Scarface, and back then a movie such as this was unheard of, and talked about. There are some subtle changes in the storyline like, Tony Montana was originally an Italian immigrant instead of Cuban, and the last names are also changed. Instead of being a drug and criminal lord, the original Tony is hired to take out another criminal, but then he decides to go big time as well and starts becoming a threat to Johnny Lovo. Even though the thirties version of Scarface is awesome, nothing can touch Oliver Stones recreation, and I think it has a lot to do with AL Pacino, and the storyline of the eighties version of one of the worlds most fictional notorious crime bosses ever. Some f the most famous criminal names and characters are in this movie like Chi Chi, Mel the dirty cop, and of course Robert Loggia as Frank Lopez. I know for a fact that you guys will enjoy learning “how to draw Scarface”, step by step. I also include a helpful tip that will enable you to understand how to sketch out the face of Tony Montana in a simple way. Until next tome folks, have fun with this tutorial, and be sure to come back or stick around to see what else I will upload. Peace peeps!
