1

The first thing you want to do is draw a line for the wind pipe, and then two branch lines that will connect to the shapes of the lung pieces.

2

Here you will begin drawing the shape of the windpipe which looks like your back bone. Be sure to add the cross lines for texture and detailing.

3

Thicken and weld the shapes of the lungs like you see here, and then add some detailing veins like so. Erase the guidelines and shapes you drew in step one.

4

See how easy it was to learn how to draw lungs. Now all you have to do is color them in. Now that you have a nicely drawn sketch of the human lungs, you are ready to pieces together your bodies anatomy.

Description: It's Saturday, and where I'm located, the day is really hot. I think it's supposed to reach ninety five today or something near that temperature. The one thing about summer I hate is the hot, humid air. This is because with that humidity, comes poor quality air which is not healthy to breath. For today's first lesson, I will be showing you guys "how to draw lungs", step by step. I know that many of you probably think that there is no use for such a tutorial, but in many cases you could be wrong. I know when I was in school, we learned about the human body, and all of our internal organs, like our lungs. If there is five main organs that is vital to sustaining life, it would have to be your heart, brain, kidneys, stomach, and of course your lungs. Without our lungs there would be no way for us to breath unless of course we where hooked up to some kind of breathing machine that can transport oxygen, and export carbon dioxide from our bodies so we can breath. The air that our bodies bring in not only enable us to breath, but they also transport oxygen to the bodies bloodstream. I know this sounds a bit confusing, but when you really think about it, it's not confusing at all. You see, our lungs are made up of a very complex, but delicate twine of tubes, that form into two halves that are in the shape of steaks. They are also suspended inside of the chest cavity which are positioned on both sides of the heart. Air is obviously brought into the lungs by either the nose or mouth as it travels down the bodies windpipe. The fibers within the lungs makeup, act as a filtration system as air comes in. Did you know that our lungs is the only internal organ that is exposed to our outside environment? It's true, because the lungs bring in air from the outside, it also has to filter out all the dust particles and pollution we breath in. This is why second hand smoke, fiberglass, and other toxic material and gases are harmful to our respiratory system. All the pollution, debris, and so forth is attacking one of our most important internal organs as we know it. The reason why we cough up phloem is because mucus is what the inner lining of our lungs are coated with, and this is called “bronchi”. How we as individuals breath is all based on how the brain wants us to breath. Our breathing rate is dictated by the brain because it is the brain that uses the most oxygen intake. Even though so many damage is passed through our lungs everyday, they are still one of the bodies most delicate organs. This is why so many illnesses kill people everyday, like lung cancer and emphysema. A cold or fever can turn a healthy person into someone struggling for their life if the body catches a case of pneumonia. As you know pneumonia is when the alveoli inflames and fills up with fluid. How does this condition kill you? Well, I guess you could say it's like drowning in a pool of water. I mean, I remember reading that an individual can even drown by drinking too much water, or even putting their face in an inch of water. Anyways, I hope this lesson helps you learn "how to draw lungs", step by step. I have some other tutorials to upload so hopefully you guys stay tuned in to see what they are. Peace out people, and have an awesome drawing day.
