Instead of making complex steps, I figured I would make it simple. Start with a circle for the head, and then draw the horn line, and then a slightly arched line.

2

Now you can start sketching out the shape of the narwhal's body on the top, and then slightly dip in a bit for the tail.

3

You will now finish sketching out the narwhal's body by drawing the nose, mouth, undercarriage, and then the tail, and fin.

4

This is your last drawing step, and as you can see all you need to do is draw in another fin, and then a dot for the eye. Erase the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

5

That's it, see how easy it was drawing a narwhal, one of the oddest animals of the sea. I hope you had an awesome time with this tutorial, be sure to join me once again.

Description: How many of you have ever wondered if it is possible for an animal to exist that looks like a unicorn? Even though these beautiful horses from myth are just plain old fantasy creatures, there may be a real life animal that is considered to be an unusual species because of a long, horn like pointed tooth that exists on the outside of the head, just like the unicorn. What am I talking about you ask? Well, as you know the sea is a wondrous place that holds many mysteries and hundreds of unanswered questions about some of the lifeforms that dwell beneath the sea. This tutorial is going to be based on a creature that has the looks of a fantasy being, but is very much real. I’m talking about the Narwhal. This water species can be found in the cold waters of the Arctic. What makes them so unique is the enormous tusk that stands erect from the nose or head of the animal. They are considered to be the unicorns of the sea, and with good cause too. Their ivory tusks spiral as they get bigger, and on males they can grow to be around nine feet long. Females also have horns, but they are not as big as the males. Narwhals are classified as being porpoises, which means they are relatives to the dolphin, beluga, orca, and other porpoises. They are pale in color, and even though scientists don’t know why exactly these animals have long unicorn like horns growing from the top of their lips, they believe that the husk is used for mating, and battle purposes. Remember when I said that they are cousins to dolphins in such? Well, just like other porpoises, narwhals travel in groups, and they can consist of nearly twenty, and as low as ten. An average narwhal can grow to be twenty feet long, and weigh anywhere between twenty five hundred, to thirty five hundred thousand pounds. Besides being a sea creature, that is not the only difference between a narwhal, and a unicorn. Unicorns are absolutely beautiful animals, and narwhals are somewhat ugly. Their diets consists of fish, squid, shrimp, and other types of sea critters that are edible to these odd looking beings. Even though they are big in size, narwhals are often hunted by polar bears, walruses, and even the Inuit race. Inuits hunt narwhals for their ivory tusks, and their skin which is part of the typical arctic diet. Nonetheless, if you want to gaze upon a wonderfully strange species, check out this lesson that will show you "how to draw a narwhal", step by step. I can assure you that you will be pleasantly pleased with the results because this is one sea animal that is easy enough for anybody to draw. I have to float out of here because there is still more work for me to do. In the mean time, have fun with this lesson, and be sure to see what else I have coming your way. Peace out everyone!
