How To Draw Ash
Hello kids and adults, welcome to DragoArt.com. Today we will learn how to draw the most famous anime character Ash Ketchum. What’s funny about ash’s name is that it sounds like ‘catch em’. I found that pretty cool too. Since Ash’s stimulation is to catch wild Pokemon and to train them to become powerful fighters, the creators of Pokemon gave him that last name. At the very beginning of the Pokemon series, Ash was only ten years old when he began to start his wild journey. His first Pokemon was the cute and cuddly but spunky Pikachu. Together he and his friend traveled around to join in tournaments. Along the way he met two other friends. They also possessed their own Pokemon. These members were Misty and Brock. Misty is known for her cute and small Togepi. As for Brock his favorite Pokemon is Onix and Vulpix. Anyways, Ash is a caring, confident, brave, arrogant, and stubborn young man. His arrogance has sometimes almost gotten him killed. When it comes to competition and challenges, Ash is very confident, wise, smart, and seeks out his enemy’s attacks through his surroundings. This makes Ash a very powerful and competitive trainer. Ash’s only problem rival is the conniving and deceiving Team Rocket. Team Rocket consists of Meowth, Jessie, and James. In the second episode of Pokemon, they tried to capture Ash’s first Pokemon, Pikachu. Nevertheless, this tutorial should help you draw Ash quite well. I drew him from scratch just like the rest of my tutorials. Ash first came to my mind when I was drawing Goku from Dragonball Z. I thought, ‘maybe I could draw Ash from Pokemon too.’ And so I did and I also did a Pikachu tutorial. I drew him out on my Wacom Intuos3 tablet and used Adobe Photoshop CS. I then made the tutorial and posted it on this website. The step by step tutorial shows you "how to draw Ash", step by step. I look forward to doing more Dragonball Z and Pokemon characters in the future. Enjoy!

STEP 1.
In this first step like all steps you will draw out the beginning guidelines and shapes for Ash. Start by drawing the shape of his round head and then draw facial guidelines down the middle. Next draw the shape of his boxed torso with lines attached to the hips that will later be his arms and hands. From that torso shape draw the guidelines for his legs and shoes.
STEP 2.
Now you be drawing out the detail in his cheeks and draw out a snub line for his nose and mouth. Continue on with his neck and then draw out his shirt including his sleeves and arms. Now on the outsides of the legs lines begin drawing out his pants. Crinkle up the bottom of his pants as shown to make the pants more real.
STEP 3.
Now here you will be drawing out his hat and his spiked looking hair as shown. After that begin sketching the top of his sweater which is very easy. Now finally for this step you will have to draw the finishing parts of the inner leg for his pants. Detail them the way they are shown to you here. Now draw out the shoes or sneakers.
STEP 4.
Now this part gets more detailed because you have to draw out the shape of his eyes which sort of look like windows. Now draw and shade in his pupils and give him a set of spiky looking bangs. Now yo0ucan draw out his hands and fingers and the draw the emblem on his shirt and hat. draw the remaining details on his sneakers or shoes and erase all the guidelines and shapes you drew in step 1. Move to the next step
STEP 5.
