In today's tutorial you will be learning how to draw Hank Hill from the hit animated comedy King of the Hill. This is one of four tutorials that will be going up today and they are done out of request from a member of DragoArt. I know many of you know Hank Hill and the show he stars in. I am in fact a fan off the show myself. When I first began watching the series it had a Bevis and Butthead feel to it, and that is because the makers of Bevis and Butthead also created King of the Hill.Hank Hill is a happily married man to his wife Peggy. Together they have a son named Bobby who looks like a cross between the two of them combined, but mainly like Hank. Hank works as a Salesman of propane and propane distribution center where they sell everything from propane gas grills to propane gas and tanks. Hank is the type of employee that takes his job very serious and has a great deal of honor and respect for what he does as a profession. Besides being married to Peggy he also has another woman in his life and she makes him sing and dance. Her name is Betsy and she is Hanks guitar. He is usually seen hanging in the front of his house with his three buddies Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer. The three of them sit and drinks beers as they talk about life's problems and concerns. I love the show, Hank is a guy that tries to keep good communication with his son Bobby and he tries to have a loving relationship with Peggy. He maintains his strong beliefs in the American Dream as he teaches his son that if you want to earn an honest dollar you have to work for an honest dollar. In this tutorial you will learn "how to draw Hank Hill" from King of the Hill, step by step. The instructions will teach you how easy it is to accomplish the task of drawing Hank Hill.

How To Draw Hank Hill

STEP 1.

in this first step you will learn how to draw out the guidelines and shapes for Hank Hill. Start by drawing his long squared shaped head with facial guidelines drawn in. Now draw out a rounded shaped body for his torso. From those two shapes draw the guidelines for his arms, legs, and neck. Draw in the inner parts of his legs as well.

In this part you will be drawing out his glasses. Next draw out the shirt lining around the collar. Now draw the shape of his belt, legs and pants the way they are shown here. The characters from King of the Hill are all basically squared shapes. Th only rounded thing on them is their shoes and head.

STEP 3.

Now you are going to start sketching out his hair which is a typical style for most Texan men. You will also you will need to start sketching out the wrinkle lines on his forehead and cheeks as shown. Sketch out the shape of his nose and chin and the left side of his jaw line. All step are made with simple lines. Continue down the page and draw out the sleeves for his t-shirt and the beginning shapes of his arms. Detail the pudgy lines under his belly for that tucked in look. Some minor sketching detailing is needed for his shoes as well.

STEP 4.

All you will be doing here is sketching out his eyes and detailing his face a bit more. After the face is complete you can finish off his arms and draw a can of beer or soda in his left hand. Now you are ready to erase all the guidelines and circle shapes you drew in step 1.
