So I really wanted to do a tutorial on "how to draw Coraline step by step". I haven't watched the movie but my brother said it was the bomb. He told me it was about a girl who wants a better family. One day she walks into a doorway she found in her closet and on the other side was the perfect family. They treated her so well that she really enjoyed it. Later on, the family slowly turns evil and tries to get Coraline's eyes. Why you ask? I have no idea, but it sounds pretty creepy. Anyways, the reference I used for the image was from the official Coraline movie poster. I really liked the pose she was in so I got inspiration and drew my own. The voice actress for Coraline is Dakota Fanning. This particular person also appeared in one of my favorite movies, "Twilight Saga: Eclipse". She did an O.K job on the acting for such a small role. Anyways, the drawing was kinda easy. The preparations for the sketches were pretty swift considering that I had a vision of how she would be drawn. The finishing line work was pretty swift and the coloring was great. The background for the original image was inspired from a Coraline book cover I seen. I used some elements and worked my own design. I thought a tutorial to "draw Coraline" would be a great idea so I went ahead and pursued it. I seriously hope you'll enjoy this tutorial; I had lots of fun completing this lesson. Thanks for viewing and have a happy 4th of July!
