Well, I guess you could say that I have been watching a lot of reruns when it comes to The Family Guy, which is why I am submitting this lesson. Today is the twenty fourth which means there is only like six more days left to this month, which means Eclipse will be in theaters in no time at all. Anyways, I love the way that I drew these important Family Guy characters out because it shows just how unclose they are. Even though Peter loves Lois, he is still a big kid at heart that loves pushing her buttons to see how far he can throw her. As for Stewie, let's just say that he is as flamboyant as they come, but the only difference is, he has such a temper, and that temper gets him heated to no end. I was going to draw in Brian, but he is a character that deserves to be by himself anyway because Brian, wants to be part of a family that has a lot of issues to deal with, making it harder on him to be understood. No matter how you look at it, this lesson on "how to draw Family Guy" is going to be one of the best tutorials you have ever tackled. I know for a fact that you will have fun drawing Peter, Lois, and yes Stewie, using this simple, easy to read tutorial that will teach you in full detail how to create characters from the very popular late night animated series, The Family Guy. STEP 1.
You will be drawing two and half people here so pay attention. Start by drawing out three head shapes like you see here, and then add the facial guidelines. Next, draw out Peter's big round belly, and then the body lining to create a nice workable frame.
STEP 2.
Since Peter has the biggest face of them all, you will start sketching out the large, awkward shape that makes up his head. When that is done, draw out Lois's face and head shape, and then the complete football shape for Stewie. Next, add the eyes, and noses for both Peter, and Lois, and then draw out Stewie's face completely like you see here. You will also draw their necks, and some of Stewie's body line.
STEP 3.
Step three brings you closer to finishing this lesson. What you will need to do now is draw in the rest of Peter, and Lois's face, and then begin sketching out their torso's. As for Stewie, you can pretty much finish him off like you see here. Be sure that you draw Peter's body to look plump.
STEP 4.
Sketch out the folds or cuffs that Peter has on his sleeves, and then draw out some of his arm, and hand. Next, begin drawing out his pants and or lower body, and do the same thing for Lois, but in a slender fashion. Stewie is all done by now.
STEP 5.
You are now ready to finish drawing Peter and Lois. All you have to do is draw in Peter's belt, add the buttons on his shirt, and then draw out his shoes, and arm. Lois just needs buttons, and shoes to be completed. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one and you are all done.
STEP 6.
Here you have a perfect picture that is on one of the famous families in the world. I hope you had fun learning how to draw Family Guy, step by step.1 Page Result
