How to Draw a Dead Tree
I figured I would do something simple for you guys to learn from since everything I've uploaded in the past few days have been a bit complex but not too bad. I will show you "how to draw a dead tree", step by step. Drawing trees, can either be a complex task, or a very simple, and easy task. It all depends on how, and what type of tree you wish to draw. I for one like drawing simple style trees, and once in a while I will go ahead and try to sketch out a realistic tree like a weeping willow. So far, I haven't had any luck with sketching a nice enough realistic tree to submit it as a lesson. But whatever, I still do my best with creating new, innovative drawing that I turn into helpful tutorials for all to learn from. Anyway, I think you should enjoy learning "how to draw a dead tree", step by step. I will be back with more drawing fun, so stay tuned in to see what I have in store for you next. STEP 1.
This isn't really a drawing step, it's more like an instructional reading that explains how there are plenty of different ways to draw the branches of a dead tree even though they are completely lifeless. A dead tree is supposed to have a lifeless and shriveled look. I provide some quick sketches of what exactly I am talking about here.
STEP 2.
Let's begin shall we? Start by drawing a few wire like lines to create a frame for the old, decrepit dead tree that you are about to draw.
STEP 3.
You will now begin sketching out the base of the tree trunk like you see here. Old tress have thick, wide bases, with clawing roots spreading from the bottom.
STEP 4.
Instead of sketching out more of the dead trees limbs, you will begin sketching in the detailing and definition like you see here.
STEP 5.
See how I drew the shaft to look like it is twisting and wrapping on itself? This is to intensify the dead effects. Once this is done, you can begin drawing more limbs, and small branches that are connected to those limbs.
STEP 6.
For your last drawing step, all you have to do is draw out the remaining limbs and small branches. Erase the lines that you drew in step one if they are visible.
STEP 7.
Look how nice your new twisted, old tree looks now that you are done. All you need to do now is color it in, and include it in one of your next drawings. I hope you had fun drawing a dead tree.Comments: Post Comment
