How to Draw Elfen Lied
Here is the lesson that I was talking about earlier today. Its a tutorial on a character named Lucy, and she is the main focal point to this manga's storyline. Teaching someone "how to draw Elfen Lied", is going to be like any other anime or manga lesson I have given before. The only difference with this lesson, is the fact that the heading isn't going to be named after the main character. Instead I labeled it Elfen Lied. This manga is new to me, but it has been around since 2002, and the only reason why I am going to show you "how to draw Lucy from Elfen Lied", is because it was requested by a member. The story takes place in Japan, and it's centered around the fact that there is a new strain of a human race called “Diclonius”. The only difference between regular humans and the Diclonius, is the small horn like pieces that stick out from their heads that whined up looking like ears. Lucy, is the main character, and she herself is from Diclonius race. The reason why the story centers around her is because she amazingly escapes from a building that does all kinds of experiments on the new strain of humans. Once she escapes, Lucy just goes crazy like an ape. While she is wreaking havoc, she manages to get hurt, which then turns her into Nyu. Nyu is Lucy's second personality, almost like Sybil. Because she was in the experimental facility, she has generated a strong dislike, and hatred for the human race. Lucy may look sweet, innocent, and cunning. The fact is, she is as lethal as they come, literally. As I read on about the manga, I realized that it was a very interesting concept that inflicted some curiosity in me. Because of this, I had great fun drawing Lucy, and even a better time creating a tutorial so that you too can "draw Elfen Lied characters"" like Lucy too. Well, I guess that's it. STEP 1.
Since Lucy is standing straight up, this should be an easy lesson to follow. You will first draw the shape of her head which is in the form of a circle, and then draw the connecting line in a vertical position. Next, draw the lining for her shoulders, arms, and legs.
STEP 2.
You will now start sketching out the shape of her face, and then her hair. As you can see in the finished line art, Lucy has long pretty hair. Once her bangs are drawn out, you can move to the next step.
STEP 3.
Next, begin sketching out the rest of her head shape, and then some more of her long hair. The ends of her hair should look pointy and sharp. Once that is done, draw in the bone like horns that look like ears, and then sketch out her left eye.
STEP 4.
Add some detailing to her head, hair, and horns. Once that is done, sketch out more hair strands, and then draw out the shape of her neck, torso, and boobs. You will also need to draw the beginning lining fr her arms as well.
STEP 5.
Add some detailing around her collar bone, and then draw out the actual shape of her petite body frame by sketching in her waist, hips, and thighs. Next, draw Lucy's left arm, and hand, and then add some definition to her stomach.
STEP 6.
Begin drawing the bandages that crisscross over her chest and breasts like so, and then draw her pelvic area, or crotch, and then her legs.
STEP 7.
Draw more wrapped bandages on her left arm, hips, and legs. Add detailing to the cloth, and then draw more of her leg like you see here.
STEP 8.
All you have to do now, is finish sketching out her legs, and then draw her feet in a puddle of blood. You can see the ripples in the fluid she is standing in. Erase the lines and shapes, and that's it.
STEP 9.
Look how nice Lucy came out looking. You are now ready to color her in, and label her a finished drawing. Great work guys!Comments: Post Comment
